I'm glad some things are going so well. The diagnosis doesn't sound brill but at least you know, and that is powerful. Hope they have tips for how to manage it. You sure get exposed to enough bugs at work with little blighters.

Goodness me, what a mixed week for you. It's good at least that you have a name now andknow what you're dealing with. Sending you best case scenario vibes. Not to trivialise at all but would taking a really strong multi-vitamin help prop up your immune system to minimise flare-ups?

Good luck forthe interview, I'm sure you'll be great :D

It's not actually my immune system apparently. It's just bacteria getting trapped in certain places in my lungs due to the extra spaces in my lungs where mucus collects.

Bah...I'm just rubbish. Need reinventing I reckon.

I also FINALLY had my first one to one session today with my Maths student. I REALLY enjoyed it. I actually felt all emotional at the end because he said he'd learnt something! I was so so excited! :)

    A golden moment :j:j:j

But I have bigger fish to fry now...help me prepare for this interview guys. What are they going to ask me?

Sorry about your lung condition, but good that you can put a name to it, IYSWIM?

Data task - I would predict this will be looking at exam results and planning an intervention strategy for Y11 coming up to exams, or something similar.

what qualities/experience do you have that fit you for this post?

what kind of leader do you see yourself as?

what's the difference between leadership and management?

    what do you do if

    1. Someone on your team has had a child protection disclosure?
    2. Senior Leadership are running an initiative and your team are really, really against it?
    3. Someone on your team is having discipline problems in tutor time/consistently failing to get things done and meet deadlines?

what are your plans for developing this role?

what extra curricular opportunities can you offer?

where do you see yourself in 5 years' time?

what do you consider to be the most important current issues in education/for this school

how do you see this role as supporting the Every child matters agenda?

what are your views on the government's new plans for SEN?

    Phew, that'll keep you going:rotfl:

I wish. I bloomin hate interviews. I'm kinda hoping I'll be that chuffed at getting out of year 8 (pain in the bum that class) that I'll be able to chill out a bit and not babble.
