I've been productive this morning financially. Sorted out a new credit card with 0% deal to take over my HSBC one which runs out after next month. And I've applied for the info to sort my ISA out for the next tax year...looks like Nationwide for me at the minute (3.10%). But I'll see if anything else pops up in the meantime.

We are switching to that this week too.

I will spur you on with the dissertation seeing as you were helping with mine a year ago x

My car is VERY economical and a diesel, but I have to fill up every week and it's costing 83 quid at the minute. Not sustainable especially not with DH's transport costs as well. All in all...a royal pain in the bottom.

    So what do you teach?

I hear ya on the petrol costs- Im actually trying not to even think about it, I feel like all I do is fill up my car at the moment and cant believe how much money its sucking from me!
Sucks about needing to look for new jobs- is there any kind of compromise or anyone to car share with? public transport an option? (tho not sure how much cheaper thatd work out)

Unfortunately public transport would take me 3 hours and only get me there an hour after I was due to start! Car share is also not an option...nobody lives near me. Doh! I remember doing my diss for my degree and loving it. This however is about to get painful I fear. Still I don't have to submit it till September, or I can wait till January if necessary.

How can I get this job so I can stay put??

Also, I got accepted as an AQA marker today! Yey! No guarantee of work, but I'm on the list anyhoo.

  • Good news on the marking, should be an extra thousand quid (ish).

Can you post or pm the job spec so we can help with the letter?
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
