Lizzie I will be leaving the dress for the next free listing day that's for sure after finally putting a Chesterfield chair on it today. My first time selling and it took me for ever! Please say it gets easier!:rotfl:Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

It does get easier.Especially if you're selling similar items. That way once listed you would just click on 'sell similar' and just change the template a little and the photo.
Hope you make lots of money from the chair. That would be nice

Thanks Dizzy. It was in perfect condition until I came to take photos and somehow or other the cats have managed to scratch it despite me covering it! Almost imperceptible but had to be mentioned! One went for two hundred the other week so I hope I get a reasonable sum. Here dead we lie because we did not choose

I've just uploaded the rest of the ones I made today to my blog, so feel free to have a look at these too. They are quite "samey" in terms of the images used, but this is because they have been made for selling. I need to do another five within the next few days and send them to the friend who is selling them for me.
I've spent the last hour stamping images and colouring them for the next batch of cardmaking. I would like to do more tomorrow but I have a friend staying over so it's unlikely I'll get that done then. Maybe on Tuesday!

Just had a quick skim of all the posts I missed this last week. I had a tummy bug and had such a bad headache that I could not look at the screen or have the main lights on.
RE: WEAVILS IN BARLEY after I had this happen twice several years ago and then it happened again last year I now keep barley in the freezer.
Erme i hope you are feeling a bit better now.
Hugs to all that need them and well done to everyone managing to keep close to their target. still not done any accounts yet but been busy with lots of other things.
I am going to be a granny again tomorrow. Don't know what time (c section) and don't know what it is so it will be an exciting wait. Also another due at the end of the month so been knitting like a mad woman apart from earlier in the week, made up for it today.0 -

I am extremely upset by the comments made by Ceridwan regarding Diddly's suspected pregnancy. I have seriously considered pressing the report button.
I really dont think we should be "advising people " of abortion options on this site. It came across that abortion was being "promoted" here, and i think this was an extremely insensitive comment to put on a forum.
I now feel that i no longer want to post on this site because of this appauling post.
Diddly this is not aimed at you, i feel for your situation.
I have not ruled out reporting this post and at this moment in time i feel like i no longer want to be a part of this forum.

Ceridwen is entitled to her view, and I think it's pretty obvious she is very pro abortion. The only issue I would have is be honest. If a pregnancy is to be terminated have the courage and honesty to admit it. No creeping around. Be honest. Tell the other kids you have decided to terminate the pregnancy ( if indeed there is one). Stand by your decision whatever that is. I can't abide lying, no matter what "fluff" surrounds the lies.0 -
Good Morning All
Yesterday was a better day, and was just thinking about all the frugal things I did. I made HM soap powder with soda crystals and grated fairy soap. I did put some left over wash powder in. Topped up the big bargain bottle of comfort I got with a bottle of cheapo softner just until it's all gone when I'll maybe use white vinegar (or eventually get around to buying some soap nuts or eco balls), tried to hang as much washing on hangers after shaking them to reduce on ironing costs, tumble drier went into the garage now providing some lovely space in my utility room for the ironing basket so I don't have to stare at it thinking how full it is. Last of the dishwasher tablets used so cleaned out with some bleach and rinsed through a few times, and have instructed the girls that they are on washing up duty, although in all fairness I'll probably end up doing it. Used tealights around the house in lanterns to save the girls having to make the place into blackpool illuminations. HM bread. Eating only from the freezer/ cupboards, bought DBF a £1 valentines card and bar of chocolate (last year spent about £150 daft or what - it's the same sentiment and I am truly skint). It's his birthday on Wednesday aswell! Am planning on recovering my ironing board as it is fraying and all the fluff is going on the clothes.
One thing I am miffed about is that I have stupidly lost my pen drive which has all of my accounts on. I transferred it from my old computer (thankfully before it blew up) but haven't put it onto the hard drive of this one yet. Am miffed, but then again, I suppose it will make me have a good hard look at my expenditure again whilst making a new spreadsheet.
Anyway just wanted to say good morning, and here's to a glorious frugalist day. Am actually looking forward to work today. Was off from Thursday afternoon due to illness so have catching up to do, but I do like to get back to it, plus some of the students are on work experience, and then it's half term next week. Yeah, a week at home with my DDs I can't wait!!!! Have fun everyone.0 -
Good morning. I am relieved to report that I submitted my meter readings online yesterday and I am still in credit (only just, £43 or so), but that's better than having to find extra money. As the big winter "william" has now swallowed most of my summer credit, we will have to be careful to make the next meter readings fit the amount I will have paid by then....0

I understand where you are coming from there - but I do understand that people may wish to keep this quiet in the circumstances (as there will always be the odd person who will be condemnatory about it...). No point in giving someone what THEY feel are "grounds" for having a go because of their own personal opinions being different.
I have never needed to have one personally - but, if I had, then I would have kept it quiet in order not to upset my parents. This wouldnt be because they would condemn me - but because they would have been upset because they would have wanted the grandchild. If I didnt have parents to take into account - then I would have been quite open about it if it came up and had a few "short, sharp WORDS" ready to throw at the head of anyone who tried to condemn me for it before telling them not to bother to try to be "in my life" anymore. I have a very good friend who I know would have been very upset because she thinks abortion is "wrong" (she is a fundamentalist Christian actually) - but she would have accepted it in the end and continued to remain my best friend.
We dont know what the views of relatives or friends are in this case and whether it would be deemed advisable to tell them something that might upset some of them - so its always up to the person concerned in these circumstances as to whether to be open about it or no. Staying quiet about it does "pander" to the views of those who believe its "wrong" - as they can continue to live in blissful ignorance of how often this actually happens - but sometimes needs must.0
