St Valentines day and the postman didn't come anywhere near me today :( at least I don't have to try and be romantic. Romantic what am I saying I only used to make heart shaped biscuits for LOL ;) which by the way doesn't stand for 'laugh out loud'. Oh no!

diddly74 Very pleased for you that your result was not what you feared. X

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
Thanks Dizzy. It was in perfect condition until I came to take photos and somehow or other the cats have managed to scratch it despite me covering it! Almost imperceptible but had to be mentioned! One went for two hundred the other week so I hope I get a reasonable sum.

Yay...I had ebay last weekend...Made about £30 all in (don't know how much postage will be though. One item I'm just putting in an FF bag cos it won't fit anything else :()

News update = budgets don't need to change. The test was negative - normal service will be resumed.:)

I know I was worried on how it was going to impact on our finances and goals for our lives, and those of our children we already have been blessed with but I was still felt a wee bit disappointed when a negative result came back.

Och that's cos your female hun. Nowt wrong with that....but well done for causing WWIII on the thread...made us question our values (most of us) once more and we had some helpful and not so helpful comments

Bad news - got turned down for new training scheme cos 'not well enough' :(.....so asked them to put that in writing in case of any probs with BA....

Feeling pretty rotten this pm. Can you believe the hospital have sent me home with a bad cold having just thrown up (gastritis) etc etc...and am told 'to do my normal routine'...

Well obviously normal routine = coming on here in the ams...DV I'm making sewing class tomorrow but we'll see how I am physically and how zombiefied I am after the increase in meds tonight.

Am allowed out as much as I want though and aiming for discharge end of week dependant on mood....

So yeah...this is Erme checking in...

Hugs for anyone who needs them and virtual cake

PS. Have a new toy this pm. You all know my touchpad died the other month on my acer netbook and like D at the chaplaincy said it just needed a new mouse (it was urgent so paid £10 at PC Ripoff) but just gotten a lovely new big mouse off ebay for a few pounds :) Yay...and I can have the diddy one for when I'm out and about....E:) :J

  • One thing I am miffed about is that I have stupidly lost my pen drive which has all of my accounts on. I transferred it from my old computer (thankfully before it blew up) but haven't put it onto the hard drive of this one yet. Am miffed, but then again, I suppose it will make me have a good hard look at my expenditure again whilst making a new spreadsheet.

I bought a new pen drive from the £20 voucher I got for buying a new hoover and...I lost it. It's still in the packaging and I can not find the 'safe place' I put it in. confused0078.gif

    Not that I'm aware of.

When I've finished with a month I move them to the 'end' of the spreadsheet so that the current month is closest to the Totals page.

The easiest way (for me) is to right mouse click on the tab with the name in, and then select 'Move' and then 'to end' when the pop-up window appears.

You can also click and hold and then drag it to the end, but due to the number of pages in the SoW I find this slow and painful by comparison ;)

Thanks Cheryl - hadn't thought of that!
Well my green house is half up. It has the frame and a roof and a door but nothing round the sides and the OH has worked non stop on it all weekend, and it's only a 6x6. Still, it will look nice when it's done.

My spends are now back up to date and in my sig. I'm spending much less on food this month (touch wood), but still haven't got a budget other then trying to spend less than I did the month before.

Going to go shopping shortly, hit the piund shop for gardening supplies, and have to get some school shoes for the boys.

Ohhhh, I'd love a greenhouse so will admit to a wee bit of envy:o - it's on my "wish list" - along with a garden shed, being able to gravel/ the front garden, decorate house etc! Also wish we had a £ shop near hear. Good luck and I'm sure you'll have loads of fresh home grown produce!

Diddly - :grouphug:"us women" as so contradictory. I was in a similar position a few years ago and although I knew it was for the best, there was a def "if only" minute too.

It's not a 'proper' greenhouse, just polycarbonate. I got it from Norfolk greenhouses for £189, having spent a fortune on those cheaper ones that only last a year or two.
It's a nightmare to put up though. The OH has threatened to dump it in a skip:)

Baby arrived at 12.30 today. It's a girl weighing 8lb7oz. They gave her my middle name as her middle name. I am not sure they realise so will have to ask when I speak to dd again, she phoned me while in recovery. Will not see the baby for a few days as it is a good few miles away so will wait till they are home.

I hope you told him he'd be in the skip before the greenhouse!

I've got one of the cheap tube/plastic ones but hasn't stood up to the wind very well!

    Great news Grandma!
Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
    And we were young.
