Sorry but its me once more, Iv'e been thinking about what some folk have commented about not remembering who said what and when, can somebody tell me if its possible to include the post number when we do multiple post or even just reply to others it might help if people want to look back. Perhaps Cheryl knows if this can be included when quoting others. Thanks.
I dont know how but somehow I have moved my own message by quoting it. See the post above. Oh dear!!! best keep my fingers away for a while.Keep to £400 a month on C/C.

enjoyfinancialchallenges - If you quote someone, then as long as you leave all the 'mumbo-jumbo' in thebox intact (and leave the [/*QUOTE] - without the *, needed that to display properly here
- at the end) there's a little arrow that takes you back to the original post if you want to see the full context of it (or read the few before it to see what lead up to the post being made)
Alternatively, if you click on the post number of the one you want to reply to open just that post in a new window/tab, you can then use the URL of that post to create a link - so you could type a person's name before your response and shove the link onto that (as I've done on this post)Cheryl0 -
I got as far as opening a post by pressing the number but cant find the little arrow you speak of Cheryl. I'm not very clever around computers and am not really sure what URL means either, sorry.Keep to £400 a month on C/C.

:hello:Had a lovely walk round the park today and then had to take to my bed for an hour or two as I feel so tired! Perhaps if I went to bed at a more sensible hour it would help!
I have tidied another drawer - I worked out I have forty five drawers in my house (not including my daughter's) so there's a lot to do!
I forgot to say that I cashed a twenty pound payment from N power on Friday so that was handy; I'd completely forgotten about it.
A LSD for me, just carrots, celeriac, (red peppers for tomorrow) and parsley. I'm doing chicken and winter vegetables but I bought chicory by mistake so bunged that in. I didn't know what celeriac looked like;:o It's a bit like an ugly monster!
I took the pot out of the oven a while ago to do something and forgot to put it back in, so we'll be eating late as usual! Here dead we lie because we did not choose

Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

Does anyone use their empty flour bags???
It seems such a shame to throw them away, as they're quite strong and look amazingly 'useable' for SOMETHING..but can't, for the life of me, think WHAT!!
any ideas anyone??
Are these hessian? What about making a bag? Or am I on the wrong track? Here dead we lie because we did not choose

HTH . these things are a lot easier to explain in person!
As NualaBuala says, it really is easier to show than to try and type instructions everyone can understand - but here goes anyway......
URL is web address, so if you click on a post number the web address (URL) appears in the bar at the top of your browser (where you'd normally type the address for a site you want to visit).
To create a link....
first copy the URL of the page you want to send people to (highlight the address bar, 'Edit', 'Copy')
then come back to the post you want to insert the link into
type the word you want to make into a link (such as here or someone's name) and then highlight that
now click on theicon above where you're typing
when a pop up window appears, do an 'Edit' 'Paste' to drop in the URL you previously copied (but ensure you only have ONE http:// at the start having done so)
click on 'OK' in that pop-up window, and you now have a link back to the single postCheryl0 -
I believe the 'phone situation' is regarding my lighthearted reply to Erme's post. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
