  • End of my groceries budget is Sunday 23rd. I have now just been out and shopped till then :)

Meal planned from whoopsies tonight/freezer/cupboards etc and have more than enough, including our 5 or 7 a day, till beyond then(definately as I still have a tummy bug and am off my food, I fancy snacks not meals)!

Tonights haul included the cheese and eggs promised by the lovely manager, plus 4 carriers of veggies(Youngest child currently consuming raw carrots whilst mum pops on here!)/fruit 10p-30p each!!! (Green bags at the ready!)

    :jJan G Total £49.47(£12.37pw) out of £120.00(£30pw) :j

I am so chuffed! Thank you for the spreadsheet and thread Cheryl :) and to all you lovely people for all the tips and support you all give everyone :)

Still not got my main budget sorted as awaiting a figure of something (CHILD TAX CREDIT STILL NOT PAID GGGRRR)

Down side of today was £15 for one childs TRIM, not cut, TRIM!

Couldn't resist whoopsies in Mr T - went to a different branch with much more organic stuff and there were several bits reduced. Maybe I should have resisted as I already have so much veg but it's in the fridge and I hope it will keep for a while. The thing that looks closest to going off is a bag of pears for 65c. Apart from just eating them as snacks, any ideas on using them up or could I bung them in the freezer? Also I got baby sweetcorn for stirfries for 1/8th the price I paid at the organic market on Sat. I still prefer to give the market my money than Mr T though but can't help getting excited at bargains!

I love the bargains! I don't know how many you have in the bag but try pear butter. Someone on this thread told me to try it last year and it was fantastic!

    :hello: evening everyone

I have done some reaserch and found out that the local college has a hair / beauty salon that have reasonable prices :j:j for example £4.00 for eyebrow wax ( where I used to go cost £8.50 ) so I can save a bit there also a ladies cut and blow dry is £8.00

Ventured to @ldi yesterday. I think I definitely need to go there every other week to stock up with veggies. I also got some frozen fish and frozen chicken breasts so hoping that these turn out well when I cook them so that I can get some more.

I am already over the budget for this month so I am trying not to buy anything for two weeks. I know there will be need for milk and pasta and perhaps eggs as well but I shall see how far I can get. I have soup for lunches for the rest of the week (idea was to make several so that I can have choise but no room in the freezer :o - lucky I don't mind eating same food day after day).

Hoping to find some energy tonight to put BM on and also HM yoghurt started.

Oh - and I got a broadband bill. Before I moved my broadhband was 7.50 and landline around 15.- per month and now my total bill was over £50  I just hate it when they on the discuise of moving you to other location changes your contract. Need to call them tomorrow and give hell.

Thanks to everyone for advice on where to find the spreadsheet - have got it now. Was fairly good all weekend but splurged a bit today at Mr As. Got some whoopsies but bought a couple of items of clothing (that weren't in the sale).:eek: This is gonna be my real weakness this year, as that's where my disposable income has gone in the past. I must resolve to make more use of my local charity shops as I know there are bargains to be had. Won't be going anywhere near a shop tomoz!
