Strawberry gateaux, Cheesecake factory, in case anyone was hungry.

 All this food has to stop! I have 26 weeks to get into my wedding dress.

BTW - anyone who has got married in Vegas - can you tell me the licence process? I know we have to go downtown to get it before the wedding but what happens then? Do we get the official copy to bring home with us or what???

Also, I've read something about registering it officially in UK? Please help!

If you'd actually READ the thread you'd see that airport tax has increased so of course flights are going to be more. If you think a package with expedia is "a decent deal" I suggest you have missed out on lots of better deals but you're hardly encouraging people to help you out with your attitude !

As for been defensive -I don't even know Trets and don't feel any need to defend him. I just find it sad that people who can't be bothered doing their own research are rude to people who do it FOR them !

BTW Are you seriously suggesting the Virgin direct is a "decent" flight ??????????
Dear me, maybe you were having a bad day or something, either way you need to chill out a bit, this is only the internet, can't see where I've shown a bad attitude I was only asking for similar sites to Expedia. If you think that was being mean, as you stated, I've no idea what world you live in.

I didn't say the Virgin direct flight was decent, I think I used US airways last year, not sure. Don't have time to argue on the other points either but wanted to reply as I'm not not happy with someone call me lazy and rude for practically nothing.

once you have your license you are free to get married anywhere you choose in the state of Nevada .

your chosen venue should provide you with certificate of marriage .The wedding is official no matter if you register it when you get home or not . we never had any problems using the cert for changing passports and such

    we never bothered .

can you guys tell me if it's worth booking now or leave it a while?

A few of us are going to Vegas 28th sept till 5th oct. I think it's going to be cheaper to book seperatly than a package. I can get direct virgin flights for £1253.80 for 2 people and a room in the luxor for $500 (can get it for $400 if we sign up and book a room).
Is it worth booking now or wait?

if you cancel without penalty then nothing to lose by booking now and then seeing what comes up between now and then .

OH and I are planning wedding for Oct 2011 in Vegas
You just go, pay your fee, get your licence and you can get wed straight away CLICKY
The Clark County website has useful info on weddings licences and getting a certified copy of you marriage certificate.
    CLICKY

As I understand it, you cannot 'register' your marriage when
you get home but you can deposit a certified copy of your marriage certificate GRO.
that way if something happens to the original (fire, theft, loss etc) you can get another copy from them
rather than have it sent from the US.
    Married in Vegas - 25th October 2011!
    :kisses2: Best Holiday EVER
