Strawberry gateaux, Cheesecake factory, in case anyone was hungry.

holy moley! and based on the photo, some of it has been eaten already?

We haven't been to Cheesecake Factory in years...we like it, but so many other places we like that we run out of time...maybe this trip we will make a return visit.

....Seventeen across. Yes. Seventeen across is wrong. You're spelling his name wrong. What's my name? My name doesn't matter. I'm just an ordinary citizen who relies on the Times crossword for stimulation. And I'm telling you, that I've met the man twice, and I've recommended a preemptive Exocet Missile strike against his airforce. So, I think I know how to...

By such simplistic thinking the price of a transatlantic flight would would be amny tens of thousands of pounds if you looked at limited historical costs.
Bit early yet for the vino collapso isn't it?? :p
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Whats parking like around Vegas at hotels etc, never hired a car so have never really notice???

use the casino Valet if you can , saves a lot of walking . otherwise Most Casinos on the strip offer free parking in a Multi storey ect . can be a bit of a hike to the casino though

paid to park in the Golden Nugget downtown , but it was a couple of bucks at most .
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

Do you remember what the problems were? I can't recall any - and last time, while I'd added my Express number to the booking via CH3000, they didn't have it against the booking...but it wasn't an issue, the woman at the desk just printed out the contract for me, and gave me the option to pre-pay a tank of fuel or not.

    .

I think they said they went downstairs and were simply told - no record of the booking - go back upstairs and join the queue.

Until people I trust report such occurrences, I take reports like this with a pinch of salt.

I need to look back on last year's thread as some of you advised me on parking at PH...in the end we didn't stay there, but are next trip and I cannot remember what was said...I think PH may be one we'll valet at every time.

Sometimes valet is full though - and that can be extremely annoying.
Planet Ho valet has got to be the single worst one for getting your car out of, average wait time is about 10 minutes. TIP, before you reach the main Valet turn down right for the Miracle Mile Valet. Open till 2am and never once had to wait more than a minute to get the car back. Most times it is right there in front of us, no one uses that valet. Lets you out at the shops so a bit further to walk but in the long run will save you ages. Or if you really want to use the main Valet and it is full, which seems to be most of the time, just pull up to the line and show them $5, that will get you in.

OK, look at the fingers of the person opposite that cake. I can tell you now no takeaway box was needed, the girl is a cake eating machine.

    Hi everyone,
Going to Vegas for first time on Saturday, very excited. Staying at the Bellagio for 5 nights.
Been reading up on this site for a while now and got loads of useful info.
I've got a few things that some may be able to answer:

    1) Would anyone recommend Papillion helicopter tours, seem much cheaer than Maverick?
    2) Temperature is about 16-20 degrees over there currently is it worth packing my shorts?
    3) What are 'must do' things for a first timer?

    Thanks alot.

Current forecast has it cooling down quite a lot by next weekend...but it's always quite up in the air.

We'll be taking a couple of pairs of shorts early March just in case.

But ultimately it depends on the person...my hubby will be wearing shorts when it's much cooler than I will and will be quite happy about it.
