There's a 7-8am departure, 12-1, and 3-4? We're going to do it on the 21st November, and we're only there from the 20th-23rd so I was thinking about doing the 7am one so we have the afternoon and night free, does this sound like a good idea?
The 7am sounds perfect due to the jet lag you may experience anyway, you should've been awake for hours by 7am.:D I'd go for that one.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

November / DecemberThanks for the quick reply
I was in San Diego last year and woke up at around that time anyway everyday so I thought it would suit us fine. I'm so excited!

SeptemberJust popping in to say hello. Off to Vegas next Thursday for my birthday with a big group of friends. About to book 'O' (Cirque), have booked a table at Alize at the Palms, off to the Grand Canyon for a day, sunning ourselves by the pool in the sweltering heat with some poker, gambling and drinking thrown into the mix. Then off to New York for 4 days straight after. I absolutely cannot wait.
I was wondering if anyone played golf whilst out there and what are the best courses that are pretty close. Would like to play at the Wynn but at $300 a round it's too rich for my blood. Those that have experience, do they offer club hire as part of the round price?
Also any advice on the best poker rooms? For cash games and tournaments.
Thanks0 -

I done that trip last year, Vegas followed by New York, it's fabulous!! We will be in Vegas the same time I think, as we fly next Fri but to San Fran first for 5 days followed by Vegas from the 13th...
I cant comment on the golf, but being a keen poker player I can give you a few tips. Purely depends on your budget, but our budget is between $50 - $100 per tourny.....Harrahs do a really good poker structure for a good buy in, we really liked the Mirage & Treasure Island poker rooms, but didn't particulary like Ceasers and we found the M Bay room to be nice but the blinds went up so quick and the jump between blinds was massive.

SeptemberI would second Mystery Adventures. It was a nice way to spend an afternoon, but I wouldn't do it again as I've done it.
Is it the late show of Legends you have booked? That's the only way I would do a nice meal and a show in one night, otherwise it is squeezing too much in.
We have the later show booked, so it should give us enough time to have the meal and then make our way over0 -

No advice for golf I'm afraid but regarding poker have a look at www.allvegaspoker.com, not only does it have a listing of all rooms but schedules for cash games and tourneys, join up (free) for the chat board where all subjects poker are discussed. They also get together quite regularly at various locations for low cost tourneys and some pretty good evenings, the last one I went to was in Ballys, discounted drinks and a steady flow of pizza. A good intro to Vegas poker. The Sunday night mixed game at the IP usually has a few members scattered around and is a great laugh if you like playing with more than 2 cards in your hand.
Recommending places will very much depend on what stakes you want to play and how much your bankroll is. Also what type of games you prefer0 -

ThanksThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0
