Thanks, going to check all those places and see, but maybe I'll get it before because of the whole tax free allowance. Another shopping question, Anyone know of any Ugg outlets? I'm trying to search it online but the only one coming up anywhere near is two different ones in LA which seem a bit out of the way.

I think there is an Ugg outlet at the Fashion Show Mall and the Miracle Mile, but not 100% certain. You can check the websites of both online.

When getting a taxi from the airport to the strip (Flamingo) is it necessary to tell the driver not to use the tunnel or have they stopped doing that now.
    It's someone else's fault.

Ugg store in forum shops and a couple of shoe shops in miracle mile that sell uggs.

I would just buy them in the forum shops, probably no point in an outlet unless you want one of the more fashiony styles. The saving on uggs is massive in America, same price in dollars as you pay in pounds here or thereabouts!

For the monorail, you have to buy it before midnight today, but you can buy 2 for 1 tickets that you can use anytime in the next year

Thanks again to you and nvh - our tickets arrived today.
I know it's not a big savings, in the grand scheme of things - and we won't use the monorail loads - but for $6 for an all-day pass - it will mean if we use it twice in each day it's worth it to us...and it will be nice to have the tickets with me - so if we happen to be feeling really lazy we can institute monorail day at the drop of a hat. :)

They still tunnel people. There's no need to take tunnel to Flamingo and fare should not be more than $15-17. Be very firm and don't buy the "roadworks at Paradise" excuse.

What about MGM? do you need to tell them not to take the tunnel? Haven't been before but it looks as if MGM is just around the block from the airport.

It is and I cannot think of any reason, barring ridiculous roadworks or an accident, that they could justify taking you via the tunnel to MGM - it would be bonkers...even then, I'm not sure that it would help...maybe in a very particular situation...the red route below is the tunnel...and yeah, it's terribly old but I think it's a good, if a bit difficult to read, graphic.

    Hello all !!

Just spent a lovely hour catching up with recent posts and its great to see that this thread is still fantastic and that many of the regular very helpful posters are still on here!

I am currently researching flights for June/July 2012 and am considering US Airways. I have read all the recent posts (by using the Search This Thread option) and have seen that they are so/so at best - no better or worse than any other, so unless some kind soul advises me otherwise, I will continue to consider them.

I noticed that Gav86 recently posted that he had booked his flights for June 2012 and also lives in Leeds - Gav - could you please share your travel dates and flight details so that I have a starting point? My OH and I like to go to Vegas for the WSOP main event - so usually fly approx 28 June and return two weeks later..

Thanks in advance and a big hello to all on here! :)
