OctoberJust an update on the Groupon $20 for entry and open bar at Palazzo pool.
I just canceled the ones I bought. Turns out that if you buy entrance for $20 you get the free bar for 2 hours anyway, and the cost does not include anywhere to sit either, that's right, they will charge you $40 for a normal sunbed!!!!!
It really is a good idea to join the discussion on the deals to pick the meat from the bones, and it always seems to be the Vegas ones that are ambiguous. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
That'll be me then...........sarahlasvegas wrote: »Different strokes for different folks - but i plan dinners around the shows/pre booked things i have. So thats probably 2 out of 9 nights with fixed plans. If im seeing LOVE at the Mirage, it just kinda makes sense to me to revisit a favourite.
Sorry, wasn't having a pop... you don't have to justify it. I'm just naturally disorganised and like to stuble upon things. Planning dinners around shows makes good sense....0 -
Slightly O/T from me, but I know you lot are keen shoppers.....

I would also keep an eye on http://www.travelzoo.com/entertainment/las-vegas/ as they often have good deals on shows.
Are you able to sign up for the weekly deals for Las Vegas does anyone know pls? I'm signed up for the TravelZoo UK email but couldn't see that you could sign up for a specific area, iyswim.0 -

SeptemberHi everyone, i've had a spectacularly bad day today so am distracting myself with holiday plans - hope you don't mind me gatecrashing your thread!
My boyfriend and I are off to Vegas for the first time in September as his best friend is getting married there the day before my boyfriends 30th birthday... so it seemed too good an opportunity to miss!!
I'm not exactly well travelled so I have quite a few questions if anyone is able to answer them? (apologies if they have been asked before)
We are staying at the Mirage for half our trip and the Luxor for the rest. The Mirage boking is discounted through the wedding party already but I was wondering about the $10 upgrade trick - worth a try at the Luxor?!
We are booking our Grand Canyon trip through Papillon and will be doing the one that lands and then you can go rafting on the river - will I be able to take a camera or might that be a bit risky on the raft bit?
What do people wear in Vegas?! May sound a daft question but all i've ever seen of it is Oceans Eleven and i'm not sure Brad and George's wardrobes are entirely representative of standard attire!!
What do you wear to a Vegas wedding?!! It is at the Primrose Garden of the Wynn if that makes any difference?!
And finally, if there was one thing you wish someone had mentioned before you first visited Vegas - what was it?!!
Thanks, I need this holiday more than you can imagine and just talking about it is going some way to making a difficult day a bit easier!!0 -

Everyone was taking photos. When will you get the chance to have tea at the Ritz! The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot.
