JulyFollowing on from the best seats posts earlier, I have just checked our flight and of the seats discussed earlier in the thread, the following seats seem to be the 'best' available on our flights:
row 22 seats D-G
row 23 seats D-G
Row 64 H-K
So my question is would a better seat choice be the row 64 twins or the 'mini cabin' rows 22 and 23?
(sorry, cant link to seatguru plans)
there's a few posts dotted over the last couple of pages of me asking about row 22/23... have decided to choose those as you'll be one of the first off the plane, get the first choice of food, sat in a (hopefully) quiet and small/more private cabin.
but that said, the twin seats weren't available, and I know they're the preferred seats for a few on here
we fly out on 1 July, so can report back on the seats if you fly later than that?0 -

have put ourselves down for row22 on the way out, row23 on the way back.
do you just ask at (twilight) check-in for the exit seats? do you need any reason, or is it just first come first served?
Just a little heads up - row 23 seats don't fully recline (according to v-flyer.com) so maybe something to consider if you want to recline and sleep on the way home.
BTW - seatguru.com ....on the VA version 1 744, the seat layout is quite different to the seat layout when I look at our booking with VA.0 -
Dont know if anyone saw the Facebook Q&A session with Flamingo Management last night (cant link to it from work unfortunately!), but they mentioned the refurbishment of the rest of the hotel rooms.
All the non Go Rooms will be closed in batches of 40 to 200 at a time starting in the next couple of months to refurb them.
They also mentioned that they have 'big plans' for Bills next door! Wonder what theyll be.0 -
MayRe the MGM buffet, we ate there a couple of years ago and didn't rate it. Tried it again last year and it was good and the same this year. That was for breakfast, haven't had a dinner buffet there for a long time.
As stoneman said, some rave about the Paris buffet, especially for breakfast. We don't rate it at all and haven't done for the last 4-5 years. We did attempt it again after reading that it was good only to be disappointed.
The Aria was excellent last year. This year it was just OK as there had been a huge drop in standards.
Mandalay Bay is consistently good for breakfast as is the Mirage and the Bellagio. The Wicked Spoon was OK, but not as good as I was expecting from all the hype.
We very rarely do dinner buffets, but struck it lucky this year as it was Mother's Day when we went to Harrah's and they had a lot of extras on the menu and everything was good. However sometimes it's been good and other times not so good.
Monte Carlo was passable last time we were there, but it was a while ago.
I wouldn't waste time and money at the Excalibur, Flamingo or IP.0 -

That's providing they've not been pre-booked. We've pre-booked our 2 exit row seats for our departure on 14th July by calling up Virgin.:staradmin There is no normal, only typical :staradmin0 -
