Ok all - your (MGM) Breakfast Buffet preferences please...? I'm currently thinking PH, MGM Grand and MB.

    Aria .

;) A few of us have filled our boots already. I saved about £100 (plus the buffets!) from my original booking which I cancelled.
    :)

One of the problems with re-posting old offers is that there may well be better offers out now. Take for example the free buffets deal (oops, the new offer only became public after the original post today)

which was part of the cut/paste is not as good (for all the dates I looked at) as the new Facebook offer for free buffets

Last year July was less than $100 for the Aria, the way things are going, it might be again!

hehe I'll keep my eyes peeled :)
if it was a flat choice between our current seats (window row 29) and the 'mini cabin' which would you choose?

If I had to choose I would probably move to 22 or 23. I think you will be disturbed less with passing people traffic! Also as you mentioned no one to move past if you want to get up. There will still be a stranger next to one of you but I'd prefer not to have to ask everytime I needed to move.

As for children we flew in April without ours but again sat at the back so can't comment on if kids were there. I take my 2 boys in the summer they are 13 and 9 and always well behaved (better than some adults on the Vegas flight!). Immigration was also really busy so you get a bit of a head start.

Are you flying from Manchester? Had a look at seating on our flight and 22/23 are free and they weren't before. Considered moving myself but i'm sticking with the more sought after 2's!

i'll see what the OH thinks and will change the seats shortly... if they're still available! I don't mind sitting next to a stranger, sometimes they can be lovely... though the last one wasn't great hehe!

am flying from Gatwick... think I'll be tempted to move to the 'mini-cabin'...

Biggest difference is that the previous offer was for all MGM properties, the offer you posted is only for (staying at) Aria..unless there are facebook deals for the other MGM properties?

Yes we found the mini cabin quite nice. Almost a step up from economy. I would definitely go for it if you can. Being back with the crowd on a full 744 is no fun. The best option though is to try and get the exit seats at check in. They used to be £50 each but the one next to the door is free because of the slide container being a little in the way. I just use it to put my feet up on. If you get 25AB you also get to leave the plane first as you are obstructing everyone else from getting out.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

We complained and got out money back at the MGM buffet last year. it was awful. I do like the mandalay bay buffet, that is miles better than MGM.
Must have gone down hill since we last visited it. It was our favorite. See how different people see different things, it can be a right nightmare taking advice on where to eat. For instance, we didn't like Wicked Spoon because it lacked variety and a good desert station. We don't like Paris buffet except for breakfast, others rave over it. TBH there isn't really a buffet that we like for the money paid. Wynn and Bellagio are good but I can get a meal cooked to order and a great view at MAG for less than their dinner prices. And we can only eat one plate of food anyway, so kind of a waste on us, we always felt that we never got value out of all the food on offer

thanks stoneman :) have put ourselves down for row22 on the way out, row23 on the way back.

do you just ask at (twilight) check-in for the exit seats? do you need any reason, or is it just first come first served?

its just first come first served for the exit row seats, you also need to be physically capable to assist in an emergency. You will be given a card after boarding to read, with instructions on how to operate the doors etc
