Heres a list of all buffet prices, it may not be completely up to date but gives you an idea

Dont know how old your children are ? Discounts for kids vary between hotels, most dont charge if under 4 and then others will discount for ages between 4 and 12, then some dont discount at all

Thanks Photome - you've already been a great help to me a few times on this board, with my Vegas trip planning.... ended up doing 2 nts TI, and 3nts MB.

Ok all - your (MGM) Breakfast Buffet preferences please...? I'm currently thinking PH, MGM Grand and MB.

Planet Hollywood is not part of MGM group

Mandalay bay is probably my favourite on the Strip and a very good breakfast buffet if I pay I think that for breakfast that the Exclaibur is pretty good but I would not use a free buffet voucher there that coudl be used at MB or Mirage

We complained and got out money back at the MGM buffet last year. it was awful. I do like the mandalay bay buffet, that is miles better than MGM.

we made the mistake the first time we went to vegas in 2009 and went to excalibur. Worse than school dinners!!
That and MGM Grand were not pleasant experiences. To be honest, we've only ever done 5 buffets.
One that doesnt get a mention much is monte carlo, we had a breakfast buffet there and found it to be really nice.
    I'd rate them:

1 - Spice Market Dinner buffer
    2 - Mandalay Bay Breakfast/lunch buffet
3 - Monte Carlo breakfast buffet
4 - MGM Grand champagn breakfast buffet
    5 - Excalibur prison food/school dinner/pile of slop buffet

MB is a great place to stay and has a great buffet, if it was me and I had 3 x 2 free bfast buffets to use and i was staying at MB I would have them all there as it would be a hassle to get to any of the others and IMO the MB would be the best of the MGM group buffets anyway

i'll just give a +1 to the Aria buffet... certainly the breakfast / brunch buffet was fantastic, may be a little more expensive than others, but definitely felt like value for money :)

More excellent advice people - thank you. My mistake on PH.

Looks like it might be MB x 2 and one other then to satisfy the kids, and our, curiosity! Gotta get out and about, and try at least one other....

in terms of where to sit on a plane, what do you prefer?

seats have just become available on my flight (VA) for the solitary 3 rows in the centre aisle at the front of the plane, between the 2 galleys, just behind premium economy (?) ... rows 22 & 23.
    much quieter?

currently have 2 seats of 3 booked on one side of the plane near the front (row 29)

    seat plan:

As well as seat guru, v-flyer.com will rank every seat on the plane.

It must have been a long time ago you visited the Tropicanna. Reports are that after it recent multi-million dollar refurb things are very different now.
