MarchThanks ferf, I have 3 nights booked at Mirage and this promotion is only $35 more in total. If that means we can get 2 breakfast buffets free for 3 mornings (it only mentions booking 2 nights, I hope that means 2 nights or more) we would save about $70. I will call them when I get in this evening
Will be interested to know what they say - it doesn't seem to have a max number of nights in the T&Cs...but the 'book two nights' maybe covers that off...maybe that is the catch I was missing.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I actually came on to post the same deal :money:
Do you think they issue you with buffet passes when you check in?0 -

The terms say something about some properties requiring a voucher...so not sure how it works - as you might not know which ones you want to go to when you check in...and if they just hand you a fistfull of free buffet vouchers good at any MGM property, then that's going to cause them issues as people will sell them, or duplicate them...there was a kerfuffle with a CET promotion a few years ago - go to each property and get a stamp on a card, then after 3 you get $x dining credit and after 6 you get $y dining credit...think they had to kill it as there were too many people finding ways to milk the system
So I don't know - I would have thought they would be better off having you charge to your room (assume it's the same at CET - that you can charge a buffet at any property in the group to a room at any other property in the group). It may be that you do that, but have to show something that you are given at check-in too...or something...really don't know.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
MarchMy colleague next to me at work is back from his holidays and has brought in a cold. He's had it for "a week"
We fly out to for our first Vegas holiday tomorrow for a week. Without being melodramatic, if I get it this cold then I will spend the rest of my life hunting him down like the dog he is...
in theory, if he's had it for a week, he's less contagious than he would have been a few days ago.
I would get some of that First Defence stuff...even if people say it's all in your head and doesn't really do anything...cannot hurt to try.
Where did he go - I swear those foreign germs are the worst...I got sick so much when I moved here...Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Wrong. The common cold, being a virus, is contagious as long as the sufferer has symptoms. If the person still has the runny nose and sneezing etc avoid them! If he is over the worst of it and the symptoms are diminishing then they will be less contagious simply due to them producing less snot etc.
When you get a cold the immune system kicks in and you produce antibodies - which up's your immunity ot CC, but given there are so many varieties, you move to a new country and come across so many versions you haven't "seen" before causing you to catch more than your fair share.0 -

Just called the Mirage and changed my 3 night booking in Aug. Extra cost is just under $35 but does indeed get me 2 buffets per day for the 3 nights, so a good saving as we would have the buffet there or somewhere else on those 3 nights anyway.0 -

I changed my reservation too online, room is not only $90 cheaper for the same nights (5 nights) but breakfast included now. Sadly it won't cover my traditional breakfast bloody Mary :A0 -
Not sure if anyone has seen this on HUKD:

Got to be worth a look but I'm not too optimistic ...0
