Went to Ellis Island last night for Karaoke, got there at midnight = OMG!!!! not so touristy at that time, was 5 of us and it was eyes on us, lots of locals in there, so had 1 beer and left! quick time!!!!!!
Skyjump at the Strat - anyone know the average time it takes to do? my missis will be waiting at the bottom for me, so am hoping i can be leaving her and back to her within 30 mins, possible ???0 -
JuneWell we are off to gatwick now and I would just like to thank everyone that posts here for all the great advice.
Going back to the AA discount at hertz, it still comes out a bit more expensive than dollar and it's just that I prefer hertz. Don't forget quidco!!!0 -
MarchThis was in today's unlisted promos from smartevegas. I have not done any spot checking to see if the rates are just higher than they would be on other promos which we know is sometimes the case...but since it's not restricted to the buffet in the hotel you are staying at it may be interesting to check out anyway...I'm not sure we could eat a buffet a day, even different buffets...but depending on what the rates are like, may be an option.
OK I did one bit of spot checking and lots of date at $32/night for Excalibur...which seem to be the same rate as the 'special online rates' through smartervegas -without 2 free buffets per day. It seems there must be a catch as (igorning the resort fee) you could probably come close to the value of the 2 free buffets netting off against your complete room charge.
Book two nights and receive two complimentary meals at any MGM Resorts buffet everyday of your stay!
This offer is valid for breakfast or lunch only at all participating outlets with the exception of Monte Carlo, where it is valid for brunch only, and Luxor, where brunch is included. Bellagio and The Signature at MGM Grand are not participating in this promotion. Chin Chin at New York-New York is not included in this offer. Buffet is only valid once per day, per person (maximum 2 people per room, $20 per person). This offer does not accumulate if unused. Offer is not valid for dinner and gratuity is not included. Some properties may require a coupon to be presented at the buffet for redemption. These coupons will be provided at check-in.
Code is ZBUFG11, but I'm not sure if just putting that in the promo code box on the website works - so here are links (again, lifted from the aforementioned email - sorry if everyone has it already)

AugustThanks ferf, I have 3 nights booked at Mirage and this promotion is only $35 more in total. If that means we can get 2 breakfast buffets free for 3 mornings (it only mentions booking 2 nights, I hope that means 2 nights or more) we would save about $70. I will call them when I get in this evening0

Thanks but we need a room with 2 beds, which rules out most of the best rooms in vegas
Why? eg of the best hotels that Ive stated at, Venetian has their entry level suite available either as one bed or two beds. Mirage same.
Or do you mean the best rooms in the best hotels dont have two beds? They would likely have a separate bedroom and a pullout in the living area.illegitimi non carborundum0 -

Yeah for sure, she can stay with you while you get kitted up etc then she'll go through the back door while you go up on the lift, (21mph!) then she'll be right at the bullsye when you land, theres sunloungers for her to lay on to watch you. (saves a sore neck)
i went with 5 people ond only 4 of us jumped, the 5th person waited less than 10 mins before the 1st was down. enjoyits fantastic!

You can ask the Cosmo for a rollaway! We got one for free.
Also, the sofa isn't bad for sleeping on. Fell asleep there one night after having one too many drinks and had a great kip!
There is a spare bed cover and pillow in the wardrobe.0 -

Hi
Thanks for this shedsounds. I guess that this is my main concern about not buying the tickets in advance - just would not be absolutely sure that Tix4Tonite would have any availability.
I think that I will keep checking the Travelzoo website & book before we travel if poss.
Thanks
