AugustHi
Arriving in LAX with 2 kids in tow on a Sunday late afternoon in August and heading to LV the next day.
I'm thinking of staying close/on the airport for convenience...but do feel a bit like it's a cop out. Having said that, I could visit LA later in our hols, but not overly bothered tbh.
So, any recommendations for somewhere to stay near/on LAX?
BTW will be collecting the car from LAX the next day.0 -
November / DecemberOh my days!!!! Just had a sneaky peek at this, and found the 'best sweet on the strip' thread

Venetian £373 Luxury Suite
Palazzo £279 Luxury Suite
Mirage £339 Deluxe room
Cosmo £386 City Room
Non-Refundable Rates though - only thing putting me off booking.
This is our 1st trip to Vegas so would like a really nice hotel. Don't think we are that bothered about paying extra for a view from our room though, but will try the $20 trick when checking in.
have you looked at lowcostusa.co.uk
Encore 19th Sept 3 nights £288
Cosmo £320
Wynn £330
Also Thomascook.com has Palazzo for £292 non refundable or £323 refundable (£15 cancellation fee)...but if you spend over £300 there is a code for £40 off at the top of the page...so brings it down to £283
and I think 8% cashback on Quidco with Thomas Cook hotel booking0 -
January / FebruaryHey
Just back from 5 night Vegas 4 night San Fran holiday. Stayed at Signature 1 bedroom suite tower 3 (thats all 3 towers stayed in). Timed from the lift opening on 37th floor to walking to the dedicated entrance at MGM Grand 6 mins 35secs.
Some notes:
got 2 tickets to fashions outlets from MGM on ebay for about 4/5 euro. Left MGM at 9.10 (ithink) bus back at 1pm.
the press your luck thing in front of PH was good.
My Girlfriend joined Total rewards and I exchanged my old A-list PH card and we got tickets to the las vegas premiere of The Hangover 2. The main 3 actors weren't at it but was a great freebie in the Holly Madison theatre.
San Fran: Full of homeless and hills. Alcatraz great but would stay closer to Union Square next time. (stayed in Huntingdon hotel Nob Hill)0 -

Thanks, yes did use the lowcostusa site to search too. Was put off by the pool area at the Encore/Cosmo in the end and read the location was slightly better at the Palazzo.
Have booked the Palazzo for £255 (after 9% cashback via quidco) now, fingers crossed we won't need to cancel.
Just need to book another Hotel for our 1st night on the 17th September now. We are staying at the GC south rim on the 18th. Unfortunately it happens to be a Saturday night, so it will be hard to find a good deal.0 -

It's a really nice theatre, so from what I remember, you get a good view from pretty much anywhere.0 -

Just booked 2 nights in a one bed premium view on netflights for £95 a night, I think thats a great deal.
If you want 4 nights it may pay to check cosmo own website as they have buy 3 get 1 free promo
Did you check the "more rooms" option on BA website
EDIT
3 nights mon to wed from 15th aug in a premium view one bed on netflights is £292.
No matter what dates I put in the only rooms I get listed after clicking more options on Netflights are:
Standard Promo
City Room (FIC)
Terrace Studio
Wraparound Terrace Suite
Tried just about all dates in July/August. Are they hiding there somewhere or all now gone?0
