PS at ticketmaster.com (obviously the American face of the .co.uk I'm used to), tickets for the show I mentioned above are $20 (bargain) + $SEVEN FIFTY processing fee. At 37.5% of the value of the tickets, that is the largest processing fee I've ever seen

    Is $27.50 still a bargain?

Re: Carriage House, I'm sure I read somewhere (possibly here?) that there is a washing machine available for use on each floor... is that true or am i imagining it? Can't find any mention of it on the Carriage House website!

There is a washing machine and dryer on each floor apart from the 9th. $1.25 to wash and $1 to dry.

Don't know what went wrong with the Bellagio fountains last night. From 6.30pm till midnight, the ONLY song that was played was "Time To Say Goodbye". Every 15 mins.

Now that is my favourite like a lot of people, but after about the 4th time I was getting sick of it.

Luci - Good to see nice comments about the Cosmo...expecially the pool. We are there in a few weeks...can't wait.

Did you pay for an upgrade?

Also does anyone know if its worth trying the $20 trick at the Orleans?

IMO No, I have stayed there a few times, the first time I asked for an upgrade (with tip) and was told no. Ever since I have always asked for a high floor and got it with out a tip, their standard rooms are ok quite big with a small sofa/lounge area

First off read page 1 of this thread. Then if there is anything NOT covered ask away. BTW October would be my preferred time to go. Weather is still warm enough to sit out by the pool. November temps start to drop and it becomes more unsettled.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

That's true. We went in November once and it pis - eerr rained most of the time. Course it was fun to walk round all those fancy casinos and count how many buckets there were in the walkways catching the rain water.
All that money building a lovely casino and the roof leaks :rotfl:
October is still lovely and warm. I'd recommend going then if your a first timer.
