Junemorning all, looking for everyone's thoughts on rooms in caesars, from reading this thread i know this can be a bit of a contentious issue!
story is this; got a week in vegas from june 9th. first 4 nights in cosmo then next 2 in caesars in a palace tower petite suite, this is included in our wedding package, getting married in the venus gardens. that leaves us our final night in vegas to sort. Don't fancy changing hotels again, so need a room in caesars, as even though we get 20% off additional nights they still want $250 for the petite suite.
Had a look on the website and could get roman tower room for $134 with discount
any input/experiences would be great

At last Caesars have seen the error in keeping those towers alive, and one of them has been flogged off to a top hotel group for a total gut and refurb.illegitimi non carborundum0 -
May$20 tip should upgrade you to a better tower anyway
If the last night is running on from a previous reservation -I'd just ask them to link both bookings when you check infor the first stay and tip them saying you'd prefer not to have to shift rooms for one night-chances are they'll not bother moving you and will check you in for your entire stay/s there and then.
Unless there is something huge on in Vegas that night you should be fine.
Edit Actually if you want to keep the petit suite I'd make the tip $50-they'll leave the tip on the desk if you don't get what you want then take it back then go back to check in on "moving day" and try again.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

JulyWhich site do you guys use to look at shows in vegas?
I've jotted down a couple from this thread - Blue Man Group & Tournament of Kings to be specific, wouldn't mind seeing Jay Leno, and wanted to throw in a gig too.
I'm thinking more Kings of Leon / Muse / Jay-Z / Pete Tong than Celine Dion/Barry Manilow/Half of Bros. Can't see anything for the second week of June on ticketmaster.com though, is there another site I can look at
(PS top thread! thanks for the advice so far)
http://www.lvol.com/events/vegas_concerts.html
is a good calendar of headliners, kept pretty up-to-date
2nd week of June shows:
7 June Tim McGraw
8-11 June Young The Giant
10 June Paul McCartney
11 June Cake
11 June Deftones
12 June The Airborne Toxic Event
16 June Bruno Mars / Janelle Monae (rats, 2 weeks too early for our trip!)
17 June Flaming Lips
18 June Panic! At The Disco
18 June Motley Crue / Poison / NY Dolls
etc
Cosmopolitan do great indie/rock shows, worth keeping an eye on their calendar:

MayLuci - Good to see nice comments about the Cosmo...expecially the pool. We are there in a few weeks...can't wait.
Did you pay for an upgrade?
Also does anyone know if its worth trying the $20 trick at the Orleans?0 -

Im guessing they are illegal as i've seen them running from someone... police i guessed!!
They usually stand on the bridge/walk ways shouting "water 1 dollar water 1 dollar" although... sometimes thats just what you need :rotfl:0
