$20 tip should upgrade you to a better tower anyway

If the last night is running on from a previous reservation -I'd just ask them to link both bookings when you check infor the first stay and tip them saying you'd prefer not to have to shift rooms for one night-chances are they'll not bother moving you and will check you in for your entire stay/s there and then.

Unless there is something huge on in Vegas that night you should be fine.

Edit Actually if you want to keep the petit suite I'd make the tip $50-they'll leave the tip on the desk if you don't get what you want then take it back then go back to check in on "moving day" and try again.

thanks, yeah that's what i was thinking, book a cheaper room and hopefully with a tip and the reduced hassle for them to check us out and back in then out again we'd get the suite for the last night.

also, has anyone stayed in a petit suite? it's not listed on the website for booking

12 days to go and the suitcasses are down already!!
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

There's a washing machine and dryer on floor 8 (where we were) fantastic to use, only cost a few dollars each time.
    cheers Triker

we have friends staying there when we go Vegas, so thinking we can drop a few clothes off around there for washing! :D

will persuade the missus to pack some washing powder in her suitcase when we go :)

Re: Carriage House, I'm sure I read somewhere (possibly here?) that there is a washing machine available for use on each floor... is that true or am i imagining it? Can't find any mention of it on the Carriage House website!

Koloko - assume that include 'Entertainments' tax etc etc?
Washing machines on all floors 2 through 8

that's open to debate (if you read back a couple of pages). but I bought a bottle on the last trip, and I'm still standing!

I think natural caution is the way to go... just check the bottle cap is new/sealed before you open it :)

Also does anyone know if its worth trying the $20 trick at the Orleans?

I've stayed there six times I think it is and never bothered.

I just call and add my room request Smoking High Floor in the New Tower and that's what I've always got and been very happy with.

Rooms are all the same (apart from suites) a little dated but huge and bright-certaily in the "new" (er) tower.

ouch! I suppose the Vancouver flight is non-refunable? Air Canada could get you from London to Vancouver and then to Vegas and home to London for under £1k in July using a multi city ticket. As soon as you start breaking it down into individual 1 way flights, prices typically go through the roof.
