Having read though most of the posts I have even less idea of where to stay than before!

Can anyone recommend a hotel suitable for four 26 year old girls? Not too fussed on the room being amazing as it's basically just somewhere to sleep. One of our friends recommended the MGM Signature and I remember seeing a link on here to deal a while ago. We'll have a car too as will have previously driven from San Fran to LA and then up to Vegas.

    Thanks

What is your price-range? And what are your priorities for the property? I know 26 year olds who would be perfectly happy at Imperial Palace, and others that wouldn't even give it a second thought - so depends on what you are after. 4 people may be better off getting 2 rooms due to the supplement for each person over 2 in most hotels (not sure about Signature) - usually $30+ per person per night.

lowcostusa.co.uk have the cosmopolitan for our dates MUCH cheaper than i have seen anywhere else. Is this a reputable site? We can get a one bedroom studio with terrace overlooking the strip for just under £120 per night. tripadvisor reviews aren't great but most complaints sound like opening week glitches.

pretty sure someone (pennylane?) has mentioned before that they are a sister company to cityandshow.com which a lot of people here have used. C&S seems to regularly be quite a lot cheaper than booking direct for the higher-end properties...

The food was amazing, it was at the Wicked Spoon buffet at the Cosmopolitan.

Here is the food for anyone interested:

I don't normally like buffets too much. I dislike seafood and am not keen on prime rib so I always feel that I don't get enough value from nearly $40 at the Wynn when I only have a plate of turkey, mash and pizza. I've been to the Wynn, Planet Hollywood, Mirage and Aria buffets in the past and I've not bothered going to any on several visits. However I thought the Cosmopolitan buffet was so good that we went for lunch twice in our 5 day visit trip!

Its definately excellent value for lunch, we only paid $19 each! I think weekends are slightly more expensive and dinner obvisouly is but I believe that is still under $30. Most of the food is served in small dishes so it stops the excessive piling of food on plates. My favourite was the truffled potato gratin with lamb and pork loin on the pic (with mash!), followed by mini chicken pot pie with a basket of sweet potato fries (unfortunately I forgot to take a pic). There was also individual chilli, beef stew, an excellent hanger steak in a bowl with mint and some green stuff, lamb kebabs, mini macorini, mini pasta, yummy flat bread pizza. I didn't try the asian section but they had korean ribs. I also saw a whole smoked salmon and a charcuterie section.

The desserts were also amazing. I love macaroons and they have purple and orange ones as well as mini madelines. The gelato choice is excellent, there is loads of chocolate covered strawberries and there is a fudge bar with various fudges and pieces of chocolate!

If we'd had more time we probably would have gone again to try things we were too full to try. The people next to us on our 2nd visit told us they had been the day before but couldn't try as much as they wanted so had to go back too.

Thank you, would never have thought to go here but now definitely on my top GOT TO DO list. Just told hubby who is, as usual, not that enthused, he's not a foodie, I am. :D

speaking as a group of 5 27 year old guys who went 2 years ago, mgm was perfect for us. But 4 squeezing into 1 room might be a bit much, we had 2 rooms and even the 3 guys were a bit cramped. The extra cost for second room i cant imagine being a huge amount. The pool at mgm is great, goodnight club studio 54 inside. We ended uo getting taxis to all other clubs anyway as I am sure you will in heels.

Id say Signature is too "staid" for 4x26 year olds. Go for somewhere more fun/partytime eg PH, Cosmo, Caesars.

Are there any other restaurants worth getting vouchers for apart from Stripburger? We'll eat almost any type of food!

    Thanks
