Think we'll go for this, would love to have a nose around the Playboy Club, even if it's only for 10 minutes, and the meal seems pretty reasonable.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

The main thing I have enjoyed about buffets is using them to discover and try things that I would never have been able to in a restaurant because I'd be uncertain if I'd like it.

I like the little bit of this, little bit of that thing...which I know isn't for everyone...I like the 'if I don't like this thing, I move onto the next thing I chose and if I really like the next thing, I can get a bit more!'

We rarely do dinner buffets anymore - too many restaurants we love...but breakfast and lunch (never, ever, ever on the same day!) are OK options for us. Sometime we don't really know what we want and a buffet works as there's a selection. Also, we have different tastes - I couldn't care less about prime rib, hubby loves it...so a buffet means that he can have what he wants, and so can I.

And some of the best Eggs Benedict I've had were at Wynn's buffet (they were just out, so not sat around forever)...though the best variation on that classic I've had was the Maryland Crab Cakes Benedict at Bellagio Cafe. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I know it's good to impress and staying in a room for a few more dollars usually says more about the location than the room itself. My first criteria is to have a clean room, second is that the stuff in the room works, fridge, safe, aircon, toilet, door lock etc. All the frills etc people enjoy, I'm afraid I don't sit there admiring the wallpaper or how nice the furniture is, it don't do it for me (just like I on some sort of mystery cycle redecorate and furnish the bedroom swmbo's orders and spend 95% of my time in there with the lights out?).

I have spent hundreds of nights all told in numerous of hotels across Britain and Europe and believe me I've seen some horrors with supposedly classy and big name hotels. The number I have stayed in for my own benefit is actually quite small and I generally find that most of the hotels I've stayed in, in Vegas to be perfectly acceptable. Sometimes it might only be a small thing that at the right time makes a stay in any hotel memorable and similarly the same thing the other way round.

I think it's great to upscale if you want to celebrate or impress but I think generally the extra money can be gambled elsewhere!

i tend to use the thought though that the cost of getting there (flight, time off work, transport to airport etc), that i don't mind spending a bit more on hotels, particulally as they are so much cheaper than anywhere else

Yes it looks right up our street. We bought it, if you do remember that you must add on tax and gratuity. Can't wait to see inside the Playboy Club. We will eat early then go back later on to use the club access.
This is making me very nervous, we have 3 things organised!! Kylie, atomic museum and now this, think I will stop now.

    Thanks for this.

All over that deal!! Looks lovely and has has top notch reviews.
Booked up for June 19th. Agreed with Stoneman, the playboy club looks a bit tasty too. The last 2 years out there I have always said I wanted to go to the Ghostbar but never got round to it so will definately be there this year.

Us too are getting unusually organised. Just sorted this deal/reservation adn booked to go to Mix on June 30th too.

We'll balance up dining costs by spending the rest of the days getting fat on Ellis Island bbq chicken and ribs

    EDIT

Quick tip - when trying to book a table on the palms website for Nove everything we selected came up unavailable. However booking on OpenTable was fine
