OK, I am back. A call to them and they say it works out at "ABOUT" $100 per person for that menu but because it is a special for travelzoo there is no exact price. So tax will be around $24, then £36 tip, not sounding such a good deal now. And the funny thing is that when I said it was the Travelzoo deal she said the tip and tax COULD be based on the $310 value. No way, I will be calling travelzoo tomorrow and either clarifying in writing or canceling.

Thanks for checking this out. It's put me off. Hate to be made feel like a cheapskate as regards tipping and for 160 dollars I'd rather have a filet mignon in MAG and then maybe taxi out to Palms for niteclub for a little extra $

This is what has put me off the spa deals that have been going round. By the time you tip on the full price and add the tax I could have a whole day of spa treatments here for the price of one there.

I considered changing my Alize reservation for this one, but to me there is nothing on that menu I really fancy so I will stick with my filet mignon.

It's ok, but not as good as the current deal next door at the Vdara, from $119 a night + 50 dining credit (usable at Aria) + 2 tickets to Viva Elvis. I think you need a min of 2 night stay for the elvis tickets.

    Heres the Vdara deal https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookingengine.aspx?pid=938&host=offer&code=VR2011

You do have to stay 2 nights, $50 credit is once only and dont forget resort fee
    book by april 30th

fantastic offer that, thats your breakfast/lunch covered then for 129 a night

Remember the MGM food credit scam.......at least thats how they used to do it......it can only be used on MGM owned restaurants i.e. none of the special restaurants like at MGM.... Atelier, Robouchon etc.......but you can use it at their own brand Italian!!!

    The early bird....
THe resort credit has changed since the offer first came out. Here is what it used to say:

    Vdara Luxury Offer
Luxury now begins with V. Book two extravagant nights at Vdara by April 30, 2011 and receive:

    • Two Tickets for Viva ELVIS by Cirque du Soleil
    • Upgrade to City Corner Suite for $30 per night
    $50 Daily Resort Credit

Book online or call Room Reservations at 866.745.7767 and mention offer code VR2011.
    Promotion Runs
    April 16, 2011 - September 30, 2011

    Offer Expires
    April 30, 2011

A change like this is potentially huge so it's worth reminding people to always take a copy of the deal they book.

To see how much fun you can have on the Aria site try bookibg a 3 night stay from June 16 - June 19th. The daily listed prices are 129,189,199 but if you proceed to booking the 3 day stay, all 3 days come up at 129. Not too shabby for a stay that covers a Friday and Saturday night and throws in $50 a day credit!

THis will work for more expensive stays but it currently appears the most expensive day needs to be less than $80 less than the cheapest. (try the same three days in the previous week)

It also only seems to work if your first day is a cheap date so if you tried to book the 17/6 - 20/6 it would base the expensive days on the first date rate so would appear as 189, 189, 129.

Not just MGM - we had our PF Changs charge knocked back at PH as it's not Harrah's owned.

Yet oddly, as we had charged it to the room, we were able to use Total Rewards credits to pay for it instead.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
