    Hello
I'm back with another question :o
Looking to buy voucher from Restaurant.com. Staying in Flamingo and it showed me that Fresh Grill and Bar is within 1 mile from Flamingo.
When I enter address in google it shows it is on Strip,
but the map displayed on Rest.com places it somewhere in Spring Valley.
Has anybody here tried this restaurant, bar? Is it good voucher to buy?

I've found flights from Manchester supposedly direct (I'll double check if it stops off via Glasgow) for £499...just debating whether to go for it or not...:o

The odd good price still crops up now and again. I remember seeing one in the middle of March for a flight at the end of March for 310, but in the good old days if you waited to the last minute most flights could be had for very little, wheras nowadays, there seems to be very little discounting towards the travel dates.

499 is excellent for mid summer and still good for May-June and end August onwards.

For 499 I would quite happily fly with TC again and if the same fare was available for an indirect flight with a decent carrier I would be happy with either. (quite happy to use indirect flight as we seem to suffer less from jet lag and AA economy has decent legroom and those points soon add up).

Just had a look and couldn't find anything for under 630 for a TC flight. Is it hidden away somewhere (keep it quiet until after you book it) on their site?

Also just noticed that the TC site has Delta flights listed as being direct between MAN and LAS. Time to check that out. Checked it out on the Delta website and no direct flights listed. How weird for TC to list a non competitor as a competitor (if you see what I mean).

BTW, those who do use AA, today is the 2nd day of the 30day AAdvantage 30 year anniversary promotion. A new promotion each day, so like them on Facebook , (follow on Twitter???), to see if any of the upcoming promotions can give you a whole whack of points (while still being cheap to book with!). Going by day 1, it looks like each promotions has quite tight deadlines.

It's in the Miracle Mile Shops connected to Planet Hollywood - right by the self-park garage. We liked it - though haven't been there since it was Tacone - they seem to have expanded their selection since then. someone's trip report recently mentioned it.

I wouldn't go for the $25 voucher though unless you have a big group as it would be a stretch to spend $45.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

The Sahara website still has opening hours etc listed.

I would have thought most people here would miss the NASCAR cafe (and the burrito challenge) more than the coaster...

Burrito Challenge hey ???? Now that sounds like somthing for me!!!! :D:D
Any other challenges that people know of ? (excluding eating 10 chicken wings coated in Ghost Pepper sauce) :)

    :)

Do a search for B3 burrito challenge. There are quite a few video clips / pictures of people attempting it over the years.

It may well be worth getting first hand info from someone currently out there....

According to the Paul Carr Vegas blog (day 3) the rollercoaster has already closed down.

IIRC NASCAR cafe and the rollercoaster were leased to some third party and I remember there was some sort of legal action a few years ago between the hotel and the company involved.

So while the statement Sam Thingy put out said that the hotel would remain 100% open until closing day, as the hotel doesn't own the attractions (assuming that's still the case), Paul Carr may be right, or, like ourselves, he simply went there when the coaster was not due to be operational!

Myself and DH are going to miss the whole of the Sahara. Sentimental reasons tbh. It was our first Vegas hotel, we stayed there when we got married, and although we got married in October, we are visting in June and were going to have a early 10th anniversary celebration drink, and nosy round etc. Looks like we are going to miss it by a month, booooo.
We also liked that little Caravan Cafe that was there and the buffet (although some of the peeps on here didn't really care to go there for meals), we never had an issue there it was always very nice.
As I mentioned yesterday on this thread, I'd rather Riveria go than Sahara - lots of nice memories there.

Anyone flown from Manchester to Vegas with Thomas Cook, economy, just wondered what your experience was?

I've been twice with TC from Man (last 2 years in August) both times direct no stop in Glasgow. Flew Virgin direct this time and TC has more leg room in economy. Would fly TC for that price.

Sorry but I think you have made the wrong choice with the Riv, Room quality will not be like you had last time and the location isnt great (altho i guess it is similar to where you were last time)

have aread of of Paul Carrs check in experience just a few days ago, or dont read if you dont want to be put off.

I wouldn't take any notice of Paul Carr, it's only his opinion. He doesn't like Circus Circus or Imperial Palace. I've stayed at both without any problems with the room or staff.
    It's someone else's fault.

don't you have to pay a whack to get your 15KG bag allowence upgraded to 20KG though?
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    Re TC

Seem to think IFE wasnt great, no games as the handset stayed in the seat arm. I usually read so not important but my children were less than impressed, they had flown emirates earlier in year and were expecting similar.

We chose seats at the back where it goes 2-3-2 lots more room inbetween seats so no bashing by the trollies.

Baggage allowance isn't good 15Kg, as stoneman pointed out they will charge to up it to 20Kg (we got it free). As my case only weighed 10kg not an issue! However it weighed 20kg on way back
