    Hi guys

Me and hubby going to Vegas in March (YEY!), staying in the Encore. We fancied a visit to the spa but looking on the website it sounds like men and women have separate areas? Is this the case and if so can any one recommend a spa we can go to together? I am assume other hotels will let you use their spa if you pay??

I don't think there are many...a lot of women wouldn't be comfortable going to a spa if there were guys wandering around...possibly some men too.

A google search indicates Drift Spa at the Palms at least has a co-ed area....same for Canyon Ranch at Venetian...I don't think that the whole spas are co-ed though.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

They will almost always be separate because men tend to use the hot tubs au naturel. You could have joint treatments though, we have a massage together then I go to the spa while Tracy has a face pack or something and we meet up in the t.v. Room
She has had loads of spa treatments in Vegas and says that the one at Luxor is her favourite and one of the cheapest as well. Watch out for the obligatory 20%tip in most of them. No joke having to fork out another $40 when you have a massage
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

  • Great forum, lots of interesting info.

Can anyone recommend the best listing guide for "what's On" in Vegas (show/music etc), specifically for a week in Febraury (19th to 26th)?

    Thanks in advance

That's US Air not American :p

As for not seeing AA on kayak last night when everyone else can-sounds like a cookies issue-just clear them and it shouldn't happen again

Talking of third party sites ....AA fares are not shown on Expedia or Orbitz anymore - they recommend you use Kayak or Priceline.

Hi - me and some friends are going to vegas in June. Looking for a suite at one of the nicer hotels such as the Venetian. When would be the best time to book the hotel...I know Vegas is notorious for hotel offers. On that note does anybody know of any offers available already for June?

    Hi all,

I'm aware of the ever increasing cost of flights, however, it seems to me that flights to Vegas are extremely expensive now - regardless of whether they're direct or indirect.

For example, return with Virgin (either from Manchester or Gatwick) is coming out around the £650 - regardless of whether this is within their sales dates or not.

And to think we got return flights from Manchester with AA last September for £415. Obviously I'm not expecting anything like that rate now (even in a sale), but I just can't seem to work out why the cost of Vegas flights seems so inflated.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why, or predictions as to whether it's worth holding off booking flights for a few months, bearing in mind that the general rule is the earlier you book them, the cheaper they are?

    Many thanks.

Air Passenger Duty added I think £50 to flights straight off, Direct Vegas flights are somewhat more expensive than other west coast destinations. I'm going on the 2nd March it's £613 direct but I'm flying into SFO and back from LAX with some touring around, £367.46. Both with VA.

Check the poll at the top of the page and you'll see that Sept is the most popular of the summer months, I suppose it is all those people who are not encumbered with children and taking holidays outside the school breaks.

I'm looking out for the Venetian/Palazzo/Encore for end of March. Not finding much in way of offers yet. Current rate I've booked is $229 per night...... Sometimes offers can come out early though, so I'd still keep looking around for June dates :)
