Ferf - we're AA via ORD (to SFO) and then back from LAS via. ORD return on our next trip - can't wait to try http://www.chilis.com/ now you've mentioned it! :)
We always stop off at the Fox Sports Sky Box (used to be "Slap Shot") 20Oz. beer in a frozen mug, huge burger and fries, complete with a full dill pickle on the side, mmmmmmm
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Booked the Carriage house for March, looks like our sort of place. Went for the 1 bed suite with kitchenette because it has the bigger bathroom with a tub compared to the one with full kitchen. Good rate of $92 a night inc tax as well with the AAA rate (just show your AA card). Thanks to Triker and others that found out about this place

Absolutly not, never happen on a BA flight!! Oh wait, I once made a right scene after having a few too many Champers in Club. I had to wait a full 5 minutes for the trolley dolly to come round again to fill my glass that I started pushing the button on the privacy screen to make it go up and down, the wife looked non too pleased with me, and told me to stop making a fool of myself.:o

    Shocking !!

Just use moneysupermarket.com to find the cheapest quote, they are all much the same and all of them are stationed at the consolidated car hire building. A tip though is to sign up for the "preferred member" scheme of the company you go with (Avis, Hertz, Dollar etc) there will be a sign up section on the website. With that you can just go straight down or up to the garage to collect your car instead of standing in the queue

I like ORD -lots of good food choices and I once saw a TSA bloke patiently explain to a woman she couldn't take her full size bottles of toiletries through........she had EVERYTHING but clearly didn't know and was willing to chuck them away-so he made her take them all out-asked her what she didn't care about losing ....checked his boss wasn't watching-and put the rest back in her bag :rotfl:

If you every got a long layover at ORD (I booked one deliberately) the train to the city goes direct from the airport (the downtown hotdogs are sooooo much better than the airport ones ;) ) and is quick and cheap.

We use carhire3000 too. Have used in USA and UK without any problems. UK call centre with free phone number, no cancellation penalties and the fee includes all the insurances you need, so no need to be paying extra this and that for waivers etc.......

My funny security story was at Birmingham airport. The lady in front couldn't speak Engish and the security guy was trying to ask her for her shoes. He did the usual speak slower and louder, but that didn't work, so he started pointing at his shoes and then hers. She looked like she understood, and then proceeded to swing one leg up onto the belt so her shoe was in the tray! So funny! He just gave up and waiver her through. Shame, I'd have loved to see how she was going to get the other shoe up there ..... :rotfl:

Back to hotels - lol My favourite subject :rotfl:
Has anyone stayed at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in the City Centre? Reviews looks great and it's not much more than my current Venetian rate for the first half of my trip at the end of March........

Anyone got any stories about Hen groups ?!! :D:D:D:D will balance out the worries that some people might have for there booked virgin flights ! :);)
I'm in seat 61A & C (the 2 seaters), so hopefully away from everything!

2 years ago I was on the flight that was carrying a lot of the Brit/ european 'participants' for the adult entertainment expo. I didn't hear of any complaints even though it was quite rowdy!!!

    J. no I didn't need to apologise, ask Tel about the identical twins though.
