AugustCheers, yeah I know, maybe the person has left the forum, never mind, may just get a sim card this time round and use our personal phones...I only need them to keep track of hubby
.
On my must do's I'm hoping to get to M resort, Green Valley Ranch and South Point, amongst other places.
Have a great time! We have visited the above, only spent a short time at M resort went for buffet but queue was far too loooong. The district at GVR is lovely to walk round, very quiet but has a cheesecake factory which is always good! Spent alot of time in South Point, I like it, there's no theme but a large casino floor, cinema and bowling alley.
My sister put $10 in a slot playing 30cent bet and won $500 and brother in law hit a royal on pai gow poker for $7500 -

OctoberApologies for my seat booking misinformation. Someone charges though.......BA?
BTW a rant, they also charge £60 each in club, now you do have to prebook them to get the pods in the middle or you are stuck out on your own in the aisle, so it adds £240 to the R/T total for 2The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

May8 weeks today & we will be going back for our 2nd trip to Vegas. Flying direct with BA. We had originally booked to stay at MGM as we got a reasonable price with buy one get one free buffet each day,but we have now changed it to Planet Hollywood as someone we know goes several times a year and he has given us the name of his host. I called her direct & we have been given a ver good rate. As it is a more central location, I am happy with our choice........although I don't think we'll be gambling half as much as they spend when they go.
Count down begins......:j0 -
SeptemberOK, I had to check...
Q Can I pre-allocate my seat?
A Seating is a service we offer free of charge. Seats can be pre-allocated after you have booked your flight, by logging into 'My Booking' online, or via your travel agent. We offer this service up to 24 hours before your flight departs. Please use our 'Online Check In' facility, within 24 hours before your flight departs, to reserve your chosen seat. Where you have pre-assigned a seat online, check in needs to be completed no later than 2 hours before departure time to enable us to honour this request. The exception are flights out of London Heathrow, when check in must be completed 13 hours prior to departure to retain pre-assigned seats.

Looks like that's the 13 hour thing penny mentioned too - I hadn't realised it was just out of LHR...good to know.
I've got my code from TC for our virgin flights to Las vegas, where on the plane would you recommend 10 of us sitting ? When would you have to check - in to secure the seats? We are going up to the airport the night before. Thanks to everyone for your valuable info.December 2011 Sesky Watch, strimmer, tv, hoover & steam cleaner. March 2012 Straw dogs blueray film.0 -
Yes BA charge £20 each in Y until 24 hours before, then free. I would never bother paying as almost no one does so there is plenty of choice at T-24. And for some reason people like to pick the window sides, but then you either have to move when the stranger wants to get up, or you have to ask the [STRIKE]nutter[/STRIKE]stranger to move for you. Better to have 2 in the middle section IMHO

We're booked in WT+ for our flight in June and its £25 per person per journey. And no, I havent stumped up the cash to sit next to the missus, im hoping for 10 hours peace and quiet :cool:0 -

Log into your booking, pull up the seat map and also www.seatguru.com - and see what makes the most sense of what's left... not sure where I would suggest 10 people sit as I've never travelled in that large a group...but if you all want to be seated in the same general area probably best to get in there ASAP and scope out what's available.
If you are going to stay at a hotel at the airport the night before, you could use twilight check-in which we think is great...open from noon (I think, maybe 1?) until 9pm...check in, get rid of your cases, get your boarding cards...and then you don't have the faff of the queues in the morning. Just have to be sure that your carry-on has what you will need that night and liquids are in small enough containers.
We use online check-in pretty much when it opens 24 hours before, then twilight check-in when flying from LGW. On the way back, we check in online when it opens or shortly thereafter...then go to the airport (we always have a car), park in the lot across from T2, check in so we get rid of our cases and get our boarding cards, then head back to the strip for a few hours before returning the car and getting the shuttle back to T2 to go through security.
A few others here do the same...we find it much more relaxing to know that most of the annoying stuff is done.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
