<Looks for Ferf's trip report.................Come on Missus-we're waiting to hear about Mr Ferf's close encounter with Marie Osmond ! >
I just couldn't do it yesterday and will probably be next weekend now.
But for the time being...
And yeah, had I realised I would certainly had more of an effort to get gussied up...edited to add, I had no idea how tiny Marie was (those heels!) nor did I realise that Donny's not a particularly tall guy.
And American Idol slot videos.

Mandalay Bay Room 34129
Wynn Las Vegas Room 1233
Planet Hollywood - Room 1834 (note that this was our second room at PH...the first was just awful - 1817 - will never book PH if all we can get is a Hollywood Hip room again I don't think...small, dark, tiny window half obscured by window treatment that was a pig to raise or lower...and did I mention the service lift that the room backed onto? So it sounded not unlike living next to a train station? They did right by us in moving us, and there was a fridge in the room for some reason (bonus) so that helped soothe us a bit, but I'm not a huge fan of PH as a result of the first room).
I feel I should add that our thoughts on the Hollywood Hip room were coloured by the rooms we have had before (we could have booked a Palace Tower room at Caesars comped as well but I pushed for PH as I thought it would be nice to try it out)...there's no way the HH rooms are anywhere near the same size as Bally's rooms as their websites would imply...though we think our room was slightly smaller than normal, and it does have a very big bathroom with a soaking tub which does eat up a lot of space...compared to some rooms in Vegas it was fine - other than the lift noise...but compared to what we've been spoiled with before it was really disappointing.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
How wierd is the orientation of the bed in that Wynn room?illegitimi non carborundum0

November / Decemberwierd?..looks like a normal Wynn room to me...0

Marchthe telly is on a bracket which you can pull out so the telly faces the bed...the bed faces the windows which makes sense to me at least...better than the set up in the PH room I think.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

MarchThanks for the videos ferf.
We stayed at PH at the begining of the month and were upgraded from a Hollywood Hip room to a Resort View room. We were in room 1634, so a couple of floors below you, but we had the same great view.
Didn't get to see inside a HH room so I can't comment on them, but we were very happy with the room we ended up with.0 -
Marchagree - the resort room was lovely, we had no complaints at all with it...but if we can't be guaranteed that sort of room, I'm afraid we probably won't stay there again...if we can get a room we're happy with elsewhere comped, we'll take that over risking a HH room again.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

MayOh Marie's shoes are definitely killer shoes -I have NO idea how she dances in them but they are pretty fabulous and yes she's tiny -like a doll.
As for Donny he's been known to invite someone on stage to dance with him.....and then make them take their heels off so they don't tower over him !!
You didn't come across a very excited Scottish lady called Jackie at the Flamingo showroom did you Ferf ?I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0
