Hello all, I read this thread everyday and you've all been most helpful, thankyou :j

Just wondered if anyone has been to the Neon Museum? I was thinking of visiting when we are in Vegas next month. We are going with our two children who are 8 and 5.

You have to book in advance for a tour of the Neon Museum.

Here is a link to the application.

I assume this is the boneyard. You could just walk around the perimeter, it's only chain link fence. We did this a few years ago and saw everything. Another place to visit is Young's electric company yard, they make all of the signs for the hotels and we came across their place one day, they were making the signs for the Playboy at Palms, they let us have a look around what they were doing and also have some of the old signs there as well.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Oooh for burger fans out there, some news I've been waiting for, the Burger chain Five Guys have just opened their first store in Henderson...http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2011/mar/02/nevadas-first-five-guys-burgers-and-fries-debuts-h/ :j

Sadly, I've been monitoring their website to see when they opened in the Nevada area....so a visit here will also be on the cards.

Oh and they have free peanuts.:D

i saw a thread elsewhere about this, and the concensus appeared to be that the fries are better at 5 guys, but the burgers better at In N Out! :)

i'll keep an eye out for the official MSE burger report though :D

Thankyou Pebblesmax and Stoneman. I have already sent a request for a tour. Just thought it would be a way to pass the time with the kids. It asks for a minimum donation of $15 per person, hopefully that's just foe the adults otherwise it'll be a bit steep.

I'd forgotten about In n Out Burger, I shall add it to my places to eat list!
