Just one question while we are waiting for the TR, did Jamie enjoy Donny and Marie?

    luxor pyramid deluxe $406.78
    luxor tower deluxe $460.54

No contest out of those 3....MB but then that is why it costs more, I hadnt read other posts when I replied, but agree with others about staying more central altho MB has great rooms and the best pool in Vegas

I think he might be scarred for life after Marie dragged him on stage !

(Ferf obviously didn't think much of Donny though-he hardly got a mention except to say he's short)

I agree with Ferf about Planet Hollywood. I havent been since it was the Alladdin.

I went twice back then, first time got a Resort room which was fantastic with a great view of the fountains from the bed!

Second time got the standard room which is now the HH room with that tiny window, thats why we havent been back, no way would I want to stay in one of those again

I also agree about not staying in Planetalladinwood. Once was enough for us. Ferf, sorry to see that you had your right arm amputated while in Vegas, good job all of the slots are push buttons now.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I want to get a heli from McCarran to south rim and land inside the canyon, but any feedback from any McCarran based company would be grreat.

    Thanks

I don't think you can get a helicopter from McCarran to the south rim...I think all helicopter trips originating from McCarran go to the west rim...maybe check the info on page 1.

I think ferf i right - its light aircraft only to the GC SR. Ours went from Boulder City Airport and a bus picked us up at the hotel. Scenic Airlines it was.

Well I'm nearly ready...couldn't locate the Vegas phones which I'm a bit narked about...oh well, lesson learned...:(.

Have a stinker of a cold, our big car has broken down so we're squeezing into a Nissan Micra all the way to London :rotfl:and I'm sure I've forgotton something .

Got a terrible exchange on our cash due to the issues in Japan and the money markets dropping (at least that's what the exchange place told us)....but all is good as we're heading off into the wild blue yonder...or in our case the murky foggy yonder as it is today oop north.

Will be taking lappy so will attempt to compile a trip report, thanks again to all of you for your tips and tricks, catch up soon.
