Has anyone got any tips / advice for spending Christmas/New Year in Vegas (except for book the hotels, flights and tables well in advance :))? Whats the atmosphere etc like? Are there any hotels which you would recommend over the others for this time of year?
    Thanks!

Just read THIS. Nobu influenced refurbishment.

I have no idea about the location of the different towers in Caesars, but wondered if this is the "Classic" tower that is in dire need of a refurb.

Xmas is just like any other day of the year in Vegas. Didnt notice anything closed. Prices quadruple on or around the 28th Dec and stay high until the new year. Yanks dont do Xmas as much as they do Thanksgiving, so availability was excellent and prices were low.

    Evening y'all

19 weeks til we fly out to become Mr & Mrs....anyone give me the heads up on what we 30-something Brits would now lovingly refer to as 'cheesy nightclubs' (too old for Techno, too young for staying in!!)

We want to take our guests (8) somewhere after our meal for a bit of a boogey and giggle...

    Any help appreciated

    Thanks x:)x

Got an email earlier from British Airways saying my flight time was changing. Its only 10 minutes later on the way back from 20:45 to 20:55 but it reminded me I need to arrange something for the daytime/early evening.

We're staying at Treasure Island for a week from April 21st - 28th and check out usually is midday. Should I try and get a day room rate so added on we can leave our bags in the room and get changed/cleaned up before the flight, look for a late check out and hope its free but its not likely to be free until 5-6pm which is when we would be getting ready to leave. Or get a cheapy room elsewhere for a 1/2 days so we can dump our bags somewhere else in the morning and still have easy access or store our suitcases? Got to say I'm not keen on the idea of leaving the suitcases and guess we won't have anywhere to put valueables either. Given the flight isn't till 20:55 we won't need to check in until 17:55ish so want to make the most of the last day.

If you have a hire car you could go and check in early and get rid of bags that way.

You could leave bags with the bell desk until you are ready to leave.

You could call the TI before and ask about a late check out, I dont think it would be to much.

Not sure about moving somewhere else that is to much hassle and you may not be able to check in anyway.

Theres a few options for you

    I've done this
We were staying at the Flamingo but not leaving til 11pm so I booked IP for something really stupid like $10. (Was $20 on the website but when I called to book they gave me a better price). As you won't be picky about room type as you're not sleeping there most hotels would be able to find you something for early check in especially if it isn't weekend. I didn't bother getting a day rate as it's usually long enough.

I was up early so walked down -checked in then went back to the Flamingo to finish packing-went and had breakfast then took the cases to the new room.

BTW anyone seen the April/May fare sale -finishes Thursday -be quick !
