AugustPretty, pretty.
a) Yes, that's $5/spin
b) No, we do NOT normally play $5/spin but had some 'mad money' won on a few scratchcards in the UK we changed to $$ before we left - this was the result of $40 in.
c) Yes, it was ridiculously exciting and we both screamed like schoolgirls at a Justin Bieber concert.
Come on Ferf tell us is it a £1000 or $5000, looks like $1000 to me and I would be squeeling except I rarely play slots and never $1 ones at $5 a spin:eek::eek:0 -
you'l get steaks at fizgeralds downtown , good value too , dinner buffet only $10.95 4:00pm - 21:30pm0

MarchEven at the Wynn which is one of the best Buffet I have been to, its about $35 for dinner you wont get steaks on a noraml night or ribs.
Agree - suspect that most places don't do them as it's too much of a nightmare with people wanting them cooked to order pretty sure that one of the locals casinos have a steak night.
Stuie- if you really are just after steak and ribs then buffets may not be not for you...you may be like my friend Dave who several years ago we took to the Aladdin buffet when it was rated best in town 3 of us were in heaven and he didn't like it as there wasn't enough 'normal' food. A lot of the nicer buffets may have offerings that are too fancy - that's not a criticism at all, people have different tastes. They have some 'expensive stuff' but it's not generally steak and ribs...many places you will see people with piles of crab legs on theirs plates but if you don't like crab legs then that's not a great thing.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
March(BTW Don't forget to take your Flamingo show stubs to the Players Club for TR points-it isn't done at the box-office or automatically)
Hey, thanks for that...I was wondering how you got the points for show tickets. As for upgrading, unfortunately the gambling gods have been evil thus far so this win will at least fill a gap.How do u cash out the $1000 ? would it print off a receipt, or does it bang out dollars ? i'm gonna try my luck with the $1 machines and hope for the best when i get there!
Most machines pay tickets as has been said...it wasn't a hand pay as not over $1199...so we just took the ticket to a ticket cashing machine (and then took more pictures of us holding the 10 $100 bills in front of it...:) I would be careful about dollar slots though - it's not normal to win $1000...we almost never play them except when we are doing particularly well or something like this, where we had a set amount designated to do something wacky. We were playing $5 spin as this was a 5-line machine and since you need 3 spin symbols on a played line to get the chance to spin the big wheel, we wanted to cover all 5 lines. Most Wheel of Fortune machines (and dollar machines in general) require 2-3 dollars a spin to have a chance to play the bonus game. Most times if we put $20 in a dollar slot we win nothing very quickly. Yes, there's a chance to win something really good but more chance to lose. We play mostly penny slots at about $1/spin or so - generally get good play for it but this trip it's been kind of awful.
There is a cool new Alice in Wonderland penny slot - 4 games at a time ($1.20 minimum to play all 4 at a time) - we played that last night at TI. I will never be able to explain it properly but there are 5 bonuses, and on the top of the machine there's a trail toward each bonus - some required 4 or 5 or 6 symbols on the trail to win the bonus. You accumulate symbols toward each of the bonus rounds while playing and once you have enough for one you get to play it. So it's a machine that if you pass and there are a lot of symbols along one or more trails, it might be worth sitting down. We did great, got to play all of the bonuses - didn't win loads, but it was lots of fun.
And there's an American Idol multi-player machine that can be fun or can be a hoover. We took some video of the bonus rounds on that we'll post at some point (nothing astonishing win wise though).Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Anyone else see Extreme Engineering on Quest on Sunday? Was all about building the Palazzo.
Everyone usually says "stay Palazzo rather than Venetian as its newer".......what I didnt know is that every room in Venetian was gutted in the few months before Palazzo opened, and everything replaced eg beds, curtains, tellys, bathrooms, tables, chairs.
I personally would stay at the palazo because its nicer, i think the rooms are a lot more tasteful0 -

Marchstayed at the Chamcellors Hotel a couple of years ago and would reccommend. The staff were really helpful, loads of good resturant reccommendations. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is very good and we found it easy to use as a base.
I'm checking in to the Chancellor in 2 weeks, so I'll let you know what we think when we get back.Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -
OctoberJust back after both of us spending the whole week sick, more on that later:(:(The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

Junei'll try at least one buffet when i am there
already got a few vouchers from restur'''.com anyway, was just curious on the types of food you get at these buffets
My guess is i would need to stay away from them anyway, as get the feeling i could put on a stone or 2 for the 18 days we are there!
Cheers for the info peeps0
