our standard shopping list, subject to inventory at home at the time of our trip...and yes, most of the food is awful processed crap, but I like to have it now and again, it reminds me of home...:

Food
-Kraft Macaroni and Cheese
-Stove Top Stuffing (Chicken) - Walmart store brand is exactly the same
-Shake 'n Bake (pork) - ditto
-Zatarain's Dirty Rice Mix - ditto
-Rice-a-Roni - ditto, I'm not a big fan but hubby kind of likes it on occasion
-Hershey's Special Dark with Almonds (agree with photome on other Hershey's though)
-Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce (which recently replaced the previous favourite K.C.'s Masterpiece Original)
-CoffeeMate French Vanilla - powder...though every now and again we get a box of the little pots of the liquid.
-A1 Steak Sauce
-Fritos Jalapeno Cheddar dip (my huband will want me to note that he has absolutely nothing to do with this one so that any of you that have met him or may one day meet him do not judge him for it...normally get one for the room and one to take home)
-Nutter Butters
-Nutty Bars
-Chips Ahoy (for hubby's work mates)
-Junior Mints (ditto)
-Jiffy Bake Corn Bread mix
-Entemann's Crumb Donuts (room)
-The aforementioned sugar cookies (room)
-slab of white cake with white frosting from the bakery (note: not an ENTIRE cake)...or cupcakes of a similar description. (room)
-Various crisps that take our fancy on the day, I'm not sure we ever get the same ones...though always get something sour cream and cheddar flavour, and used to always get Sun Chips before they came out in the UK (room)
-IBC Black Cherry soda...can be a big pain to find, they don't have it at Walmart, normally have to go to the Vons on Tropicana for it (room)
-Barq's Root Beer (room)


HBC
-Cold tablets - store brand, same active ingredients as the branded ones...usually the severe cold and flu formula ones...cold tablets in the UK are useless.
-Headache tablets - ditto, normally get the migrane versions
-Carmex Moisture Plus lip balm - I usually buy all that they have as I am a lip balm addict.
-Rolaids Cherry Soft Chews
-Claritin RediTabs

Misc
-Socks...really.

And yeah, this is one of the reasons that we're glad that we're allowed 2 bags each on AA and why we're glad we're flying PE with Virgin this time.

Small relative to some other Walmart locations, I should have said...certainly not small in any true sense...I think it seems smaller to me as it's older and has lower ceilings than the newer ones.

I do Charleston as well as its near the Outlet Mall there. Not exactly small compared to your local Sainsbos though......might try one of the others next time.

When we were there last time I brought back,

Jiffy corn bread mix, the cake mixes..they are so cheap...I think about 89cents or something daft like that, pumpkin flavoured coffee, tons of really wierd sweets for my girls...they love Nerds and I have requests for them this trip too.

With having the kitchen this time round I seriously cannot wait to try it out, walking around the supermarkets is my idea of heaven.:happylove


I'll be buying some of the amazing salads, seafood, eggo waffles, Old Bay seasoning, oooh alsorts.

The Hershey store in Times Square was even more heaving than the M&Ms store in December. My American friends loved it-I left them to it.

And to get back on topic -I always looks for almond M&Ms (can't stand the peanut ones)

Peanut butter M&M's are the way forward!!! We have half a pack left to last us 'til we're out there in July.:(

Our friends who are coming with us are mad Bud Lite Lime addicts (even pay to have it shipped to UK!), but for me, I'm a sweetie girl, and it's M&M's, Ghiradelli chocs and Chips Ahoy all the way!!!:D:D:D

Jiffy is quite sweet corn bread which some people don't like...there are loads of other brands too. I only get Jiffy as it's like what mama used to make...since mama used to make her corn bread from a box of Jiffy mix and not from scratch.
