Tara - Well done on your money saving tactics, and a very impressive little saving pot you have there.
I've also been thinking about going running, so we can jog together.... Did join the gym
last year, but realised for me, it wasn't worth the money, I'd be better off putting the £30 a month to our first home. And figured as its free to go running, I should start that up. Any tips for a complete novist?:hello:No more toiletries challenge :T

Today UU a pack of No7 wipes, but got plenty still left to go.
The Money saving tips on here have been lush, and your wisdom is much valued. I used to be terrible until I met my BF. I owed £7000 by the time I was 23, but have (almost) changed my shopping habbits. Been debt free for 4 years now, and saving up well. We mostly buy our food when it's reduced, (freezing alot) and as OH is a chef, he can make something out of nothing!
I stock up my toiletries in the Boots 50 and 75% sales, this way I get my "nice" shampoos and shower gels, (I usually get the gift packs with the full sized shampoos and conditioners) and pay for it in points when I can. Like others, I buy clothes in the sale and since last year, have also bought clothes from car boot sales, picked up loads of nice tops, trousers and jumpers for about 50p, which I mostly wear for work anyway.
Gonna try extra hard this year not just to frittle money away. Thanks again ladies x:hello:No more toiletries challenge :T

p.s. welcome to the newbies!!!!!!
p.p.s. I have decided that I am going to start running again this year (see sig). I didn't go last week as I was just sooo tired and busy after Christmas and New Year, I thought I'd give myself a week or two to get back into my routine. Now I'm ready. I'm going to start on Wednesday, so you are to kick me up the bum if I don't! OK?BTW, I would love a running buddy
I run as well, I'll be your virtual running partner if you like. In fact I think that's 4 of us on here so we can report miles covered, or add them into signature perhaps. Seeing as it's Jan it's a good place to start - I've done 5.5 miles tonight at the running club
I've packed up your lip butter tonight Tara, it'll be in the post tomorrow. Sorry for the delay, was trying to be MSE and avoid shops, I've managed to dig out a jiffy envelope - hope you don't mind it's a 'second hand' one
One UU - Morrisons Sensitive facial wipes WIBA? Yes, I've had several packets and they do a really good job, cost £1.25. I've got some No 7 that I bought with my £5 voucher to go at next.0 -
Also been told that hair conditioner thats spare (I have had all myhair cu off so dont use conditioner anymore) can be used as fabric conditioner! Use an empty fabric conditioner bottle, fill with the left over conditioner, top with water and use as normal

EH on your lip balm dilemma i would opt for :
letting your OH get you them for you as a gift, BUT only as many as you can use before they go off or something AND as long as you wait till the occassion for them, and don't buy anything else for a month!i know the last one wasn't part of your options but it can be your punishment instead of lines lol

Ooh, that might be lovely! I've used a bit though (maybe tried it 3 times just to be sure I didn't like it - is that still ok?) and I don't get cold sores or anything
. I'm more of a smellies girl than make up really, so if you wanted to pick a little something from your stash that's a similar size or something (it's just the little pot one I've got, just to be clear, so you don't send something much heavier  - need to be MSE and fair re the postage
) then yes, that would be great :T. How is this done then, do we just PM each other for addresses? Thank you!!

Evening all, chat chat chat!
Kaz are they mainly Lush products? They sound AMAZING - having newly discovered Lush I am sooooo jealous right now!!
That is actually my UU - a Lush Cream Candy Bubble Bar, possibly in theory but no because
A) I have lots more other (now it feels inferior) stuff to useI like The Comfortor more
C) I reckon there is a whole world of Lush joy waiting for me to discover
Anyway, enough reasons, £2 in pot, have a good evening allDFW Nerd #1310 -

I positively encourage it, I reuse jiffy/padded envelopes too!!!!

Yet more INs to announce, but only little ones this time. A Rich Red wash in wash out hair colour from Superdrug (99p) as suggested on my thread about preserving my colour. WIBA? Definitely, its really livened it up :j
And 3x Superfruits Exfoliating Mask sachets (89p) also Superdrug. I use these weekly and as I don't go into SD that often I grab a few whenever I'm in there.
I had a sniff of some delicious shower gel while I was in there too but didn't buy itbut I probably will at some point :rotfl:
I know, I'm rubbish!!! Its boredom that does it. I get fed up with whatever I'm using so instead of moving on to something from the stash I buy something new, which I then don't use straightaway. I even baffle myself with this "logic"!! :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
EssexHebridean wrote: »OK - I have a quandary. My HG Lip Balm is Avon's Dry Skin SOS one, which sadly is now discontinued.
However, I have just spotted that it is in Rep's clearance this campaign coming.
OH has said that if I want to order a coupole of them he will buy them for me.
:) My quandary is to decide whether :
a) I should take him up on his offer even though I have other lip balms in my stash
b) I should take him up on his offer but should put the unopened Avon lip balm (a different type) into my "free gifts for customers" box or
c) I should work on the basis that, from here onwards, I will have to find an alternative for what is a superb product, so better that I just bite the bullet and get on with it.
Answers on a postcard please......:D
I would buy as many as you can if it's really your HG... did this with something that was being discontinued and let's just say that I hope never to run out of it!!!! :rotfl: I won't tell you how many I bought...juliebunny wrote: »Well my resolve not to shop to cheer myself up has been sorely tested this week.
Pranged my car Saturday, got a fine for forgetting to validate my tube ticket today and.....this one will bring a tear to your eye....found out I had won £1,000 in a competition yesterday but because my house is so full of clutter I hadn't noticed and the closing date to claim my prize was July 2010.:(:(:(:(:(
I'm trying to be strong........you guys on here are helping me....! :T
I'm valuing the important things in life like my family friends and pets.....but I may have to go and play with my S&G box to heal properly.....!!
