Remember with Avon stuff if you order it, try it, and don't like it, you can get a full no quibble refund for up to 90 days. See, you don't get that from Boots, do you! :D As for recommendations, for a really effective budget buy I would suggest something from the "Avon Care" range - £1.75 in Campaign 2's book - and that gets you a large pot which will last ages. For something a little more luxurious check out the Solutions range - they are targeted to individual skin concerns so you can find one which is radiance boosting, wrinkle-busting or balancing for example.

    Hope that helps! :)

Thanks for that EH. I'm thinking of trying the Solutions one for combination skin which looks like a gel in the picture. Will try to use up what I have already as well but the Elizabeth Arden one is not really for me. On first application it's lovely and comforting but then by midday my face is like an oil slick. I use Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream during the day (although I had run out hence why I was using the EA one) as this has a light gel texture and this obviously suits my skin better.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

uu John Frieda shine shock WIBA oh yes 3 in stash bought when on offer,it really helps my curls stay in place and look shiny:)....I asked DH if he liked my hair better straight(as it has been during cold weather...has a mind of its own I dont curl /straighten it)I was beginning to think I look like my mum with her perm but he said he prefers the curls as I look more beautiful:rotfl:no accounting for mens taste!

    Morning all

UU here :) Elle Mcphearson pedicure in a jar - WIBA? YES! love this stuff. sinks in well, leaves feet soft, feels nice and peperminty tingly and lasts well. However I will use one of the 6 others in my stash!

At least the challange is focusing me to spend a bit more time on myself :)

Hi all, sal good idea not using baby oil on baby as its a mineral oil and not great for delicate skin. If you want to massage baby a good one is grapeseed or any other cold pressed oils, be careful with nut based ones for obvious reasons. Not sure how old your tot is, but olive oil is great for dry skin and cradle cap too, bit of uesless/ful info lol.
Well no use ups yet but am loving my Sanctuary Mela body butter, i could eat it :D it smells so great and my skin is loving it.
Well hoping your all ok and for the op ho had a bad day, remember its just like dieting, tomorrows a new day;).

    Take care all

Thanks hun - I bought some almond oils base oil but never thought of the nut issue! Good job you mentioned it! Baby isnt here yet, but is due in 5 weeks and they dont recommend ANY products at all for the first few months, so I can use all her bits up and not feel guilty and replace them when she is older.

I got issues at the min with my own skin - I think its all the new Christmas shower gels and moisturisers as its making me itch and cut. I had this when I was younger and people genuinly thought I self harmed and Doc wanted to refer me to a coucilor as it really looked like I was harming myself! Well it appears to be back - so Im going to have to cave in and buy some aqueous cream to wash and moisturise with for a few weeks :(

evening all and welcome all newbies,

had to dump about half a tube of Benefit Firmology this morning as it had gone off, I'd started using it ages ago and then set it aside when I started onto something else - darn my fickle ways

As well as a no more buying resolution I think I'll have to make a 'no opening any product until you've finished the one you're using' resolution too!

    happy pampering, xx

I do this too :o It's so tempting to open a new product and then I always have 2/3 of everything on the go! :rotfl:

Good news, I have lots of splutterers that I think are finally going to be finished very soon, just really had to squeeze some vo5 straightening cream, also in the deep dark depths of our towel cupboard I found some mark hill holiday hair products, sun swim and gym by boots hair protector and a hawaiian tropic aftersun and body butter, so no excuses for buying any of these things for my holiday at the end of the month :T
