No Buying Toiletries in Jan 2011 !!!!

Hi All
Well I hope you all had a good day. I went shopping today, I even went into Boots and had a look in their sale. I was tempted to buy the Sanctuary Pamper box with my Boots points. I don't know if this counts as buying as no money changes hands. On closer inspection the box was badly damaged and as they wouldnt reduce it down I walked away empty handed. So today ended up as another no spend day :T
Hope you are all well

Jeez - a girl goes back to work and the thread goes mad, i've had to read back 5 pages to my post last night.....
Thanks Kaz for the website info for snowballing, i'm on a serious mission this year to sort our finances out, we should be so much better off than we are, so i've really put my foot down.....
Nothing to report toiletry wise for me, although I've decided I dont like the new Sanctuary bath foam I bought from boots in a glass bottle (think its called mandular, or something like that, its a gold colour) no bubbles and takes forever to come out the bottle - missed my ten minute snooze this morning that I have, waiting for my bubbles to come out the bottle :eek:Challenges - repay all credit cards by end of 2015Starting the savings for retirement :rotfl:

I would be interested to see if they work though!
I like this thread, all nice and friendly - need to stop checking it every 20 mins though:rotfl:
EssexHebridean - I like the date idea, would you mind if I copied you?
Enjoy those toiletries gals x
Copy away Hon! We could make it a contest - see who can last the longest! :rotfl:Hi Everyone
Can I join in please?
I have just done an inventory of all my Toiletries and I have far too many!!
I don't think I will need to buy much in the next 6 months - maybe only face moisturizer, mouthwash, hair damage control spray and deodorant. And even then that should not come to much - Possibly £40 max for the year, if not less!

Helloooooooo! :hello:Ooooh nearly!!!!!!
I had the three BS gift sets reduced from £10 to £5 in my basket, I even had the 20% off code input and then..................remembered I REALLY don't need any of it - my stash will see me through to 2015 easily:eek::eek::eek: so i logged out quickly before I reached for my CC:D:D:D
Now how many brownie points have I earned for this eh???? Oh I'm sooo proud PMSL

What a fast moving thread!!
Still no UU to report this year so far but I do have a couple of splutterers to add to my hanging on in there Clinique Daytime Shield 50ml .
The Sanctuary Body Oil 250ml and Atrixo Hand Cream 150ml.
If I can finally UU the body oil that means I can start in on some of my other body lotions. Looking over my inventory, body lotions seem to dominate my bodycare list.
Well done to all who have resisted the lovely goodies in the sales just now. This is the first year I have not bought anything tolietry wise since I can remember. Avon!! The Avon lady at work showed me their foundation offer. Bring in an old foundation and you can choose one of four varieties (including EH that cashmere touch one) for only £4!!!!!
Arrrrggggghhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! Foundation is on my no buying it for 6 months list. But that is such a good deal... I suppose I could get it put aside as an xmas stocking filler??
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaarrrrrgghhh this is SO hard.

Yes, good offer isn't it! The Cashmere Touch foundation is lovely stuff too - and is back available now I think after then withdrawing it as a result of some problems with the formulation. Of course, for an Avon rep it's an even better deal as we get 20% off the catalogue prices too!I'm going to put off buying until the backorder on the campaign that has that offer though, which will be February.

I have always hated my legs there always dry and red/blotchy spots (if you know what i mean) , any tips on how to improve/get rid of them.
A Hacksaw?!Sorry! Couldn't resist! Seriously though, lots of great ideas being provided for dry legs already - remember to make sure that anything you use goes on directly you've dried off after a bath/shower too.
It's funny isn't it - in spite of being a confirmed S&G fan I loathe FlakeAway - my one from the Tote bag will be heading to eBay sooner or later!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Hey Pickle!
I use Mir Argan Oil which is £17.50 for 30ml. I usually only use it for moisturising, although I did try it with the Oil Cleansing Method last night with a few drops of Castor Oil just to see what it was like.
Mine usually lasts me about a year to 18 months, but I use a tiny bit and press it into my face and neck at night.
HTH hon.
And Jacks of course you can copy my ideas.
Sorry to copy your fab ideas again my lovely - but I'm going to do one of those lists. Then when temptation comes around I can check my list and think "well no, I'd rather have something from my HG list." :-)Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Wow welcome to all the newbies
I'm laying here battling with myself to get in the shower because when I get out I'll have to use my S&G lite body lotion and I hate itit's just too runny for me, takes ages to soak in and doesn't leave me feeling as soft afterwards like body butter. It's more like perfumed lotion than anything else. Very tempted to chuck it (it was an carboot buy at 50p, unopened/unused) I'm half way through it and if I really slathered it on I could prob get through it in about a week. It's the only one I've got open at the mo since using the up the other 2 body butters I already had open, and I did say I'd use up what was open but these feels like torture! lol
