I would just like to ask you lovely ladies if anyone can recommend a moisturiser/lotion for my incredibly dry legs? (I was scratching them so much during the really cold weather that I made them bleed :o)

Putting scented moisturiser on after that made them sting, so I bought some E45 body lotion, but I don't like the smell at all and it seems to sit on the surface for ages.

Callisto - I am the same and use the soap and glory super dry leg stuff or the hemp hand cream from body shop (yes on my legs).

I failed today buuuuut technically I bought the loot pre-2011... two boxes of flatterbox, one lock stock and bubble and one other from s&g 50% boots sale... I was sort of good and returned the nameless one (in a tin) and will eBay the bits I don't need. Oh and when they returned my tin they refunded full price - so surely that means the increase in stash doesn't count?

No UU's to report - except toothpaste which I don't hoard so doesn't count!

Im 1 bath bomb down on my huge hatbox full to the brim, and shampoo - Im sure it makes my head itch, so I might have to bin the 3 bottles I have on the go and go back to head and shoulders....
Any other uses for bath bombs guys - I seriously have at least 20 lush ones - and I prefer bubble bars to bath bombs :s

Can I join in as well? Scented bath stuff isn't really my thing, but I have enough perfume and make up to last me all year.

I won't be posting an inventory, even though I love other people's. I won't be posting many UUs either because it takes so long to use up a blusher or an EDP. I won't be buying anything that hasn't run out either though and that's the main thrust of this challenge isn't it? ;)

To do this I will be avoiding Grabbit!, QVC, Makeupalley, eBay, all perfume related message boards and department store beauty halls everywhere.

It will be very strange, but I'm going to have so much more money in my account. :)

Can I join too? I hardly ever buy anything expensive but I have loads of lotions and potions that I tried once or twice and didn't really like. I'd like to avoid buying anything in January and try to finish some of these up. Thanks to this thread I'm never buying hand wash or sink cleaner again. I'll just use the shampoos and shower gels I don't like. :rotfl:

Oh go on then. :o I can probably manage a month. I love this thread and lurk here a lot so I suppose I might as well see if I can do it for a month. I'm giving up alcohol and carbs for January so I may as well give up shopping for beauty products for four short weeks as well. I'm not in danger of running out of anything.

I'm strict with my diet and exercise so my treats for myself are almost always cosmetics. Maybe I'll read a book or watch a film instead? I'm always so cold and tired all the time at the moment, so a month of hibernating indoors wrapped up warm sounds really good to me. :)

What about an oil? I'm using Dermalogica stress relief oil on my legs after bathing and showering. My shins used to get very dry and itchy. It's scented though so you might want to try Neutrogena body oil or some Vitamin E oil from Superdrug instead? I take fish oils in the winter as well and don't buy bath and shower products with SLS in any more.

Neutrogena unscented hand cream can be good on scaly shins too.

There's a bath product called Oilatum which is very good for dry skin conditions too.

In the spirit of MSE, before you go out and buy something, try putting a little oil from your kitchen cupboard into your bath. It worked a treat for a Christmas guest of mine, when I had no bath oil.

Shall not lead us into temptation....

Avon!! The Avon lady at work showed me their foundation offer. Bring in an old foundation and you can choose one of four varieties (including EH that cashmere touch one) for only £4!!!!!

Arrrrggggghhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! Foundation is on my no buying it for 6 months list. But that is such a good deal... I suppose I could get it put aside as an xmas stocking filler??

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaarrrrrgghhh this is SO hard.
