    Morning all,

3UU and 3In to report :) In my defence the INs were needed - I have been dying my own hair for a while to save money and last week it went horribly wrong! Ended up at hairdresser on Friday having the colour corrected so my Ins were l'orel colour protect shampoo to try and keep it good!

UU: no7 combination toner - WIBA? nope didn't really do much for me
UU: sanctuary shower gel WIBA? yes love it!
UU: clarins face exfoliator - WIBA? only if on a good offer. This one was free with purchase and it lasted really well and was really nice to use!

OK, have read back a little bit :D

Hi fixx, good to hear from you again! How's the weather with you?

I have tried Elasticizer (just bought s small size) but wasn't sure about it. Do you need to use it for a while to see results or should it be effective from the first go?

Weather is ok - very cold, but it's very dry, so it doesn't feel to bad. Plays havoc with your skin though, I'm getting through tons of body lotion, which I suppose is good for this challenge :p

No snow though :( I want to hit the slopes, but they're rather bare...

Elasticizer - i didn't notice any difference after the first treatment, but really did after the second and third, and now it's just maintaining my new softer shinier hair :)

I can't find who asked what is was, but Tara posted the link to it. It really is expensive, but the bigger the tub of it, the better value it is, and now I know it's a HG for me, I can go for the big tub.

For me, it's definitely worth the money - I put my hair through hell (dye, heat etc), yet it looks great now, virtually no split ends since I've started using this (and I haven't had a cut in over 3 months), and I can actually let my hair dry completely naturally now, and be more than happy to leave the house/go to work/go out partying etc - before I woudl never have attmepted that without lots of ghd work, as my hair was far too frizzy when dried naturally - I just can't believe the difference!
TWO UU's! The first was a large Mitchum women's anti -persp. It's not so much WIBA as will I ever buy anything else?

Snap on the mitchum, and Batiste as well - I stocked up quite a bit several months ago when Superdrug did the full size cans for 99p (!!!), and I've got a couple left.

I've never seen it on sale over in Switzerland though, so I'll be importing it by the pallet I think ;)

P.S. still haven't caught up on all the chat, but I will! Just reading a few posts reminded me why this challenge was so much fun - you're all such lovely ladies!

Thank you all for the ideas on the hands. Im thatt heavily pregnant now Im struggling to leave the house at all LOL, so the cold on them isnt that much of an issue at the mo lol.
I have some almond base oil which I added coconut oil perfume too, so might have a go with the scrub that was mentioned.
I dont understand why its all of a sudden so blummin bad?! Very random as I never used to use handcream apart from once or twice a day at work - if I remembered...now its every 5 minutes just so they dont crack of hurt!?

  • I used up a BS tea tree body wash, but replaced it with the same and their exfoliating wash, toner, night cream and some face wash.
So one out five in :( In my defence I am pregnant and I am addicted to the smell. All I need now is a nice tea tree body cream and i will be happy :) Not managed to find any yet though.

2 UU's - A Max Factor Lipfinity - WIBA yes, love it. Stays on all day just as it promises. Replaced it straight away because it was my only one (I had 3 when I started following this challenge last year so it does work :rotfl:)

A very elderly black mascara (Boots No7) this was thrown out because it dried up. WIBA - this version is probably not available any more

3 ins - replacement Lipfinity, Max factor Masterpiece mascara and a Lipfinity lip gloss (only got that to try out because I don't have any lip gloss and Superdrug are doing a 3 for 2 on Max Factor so it was free!)

Definitely list the perfume... it sells really well on eBay!! Sometimes for more than the RRP  Look up completed listings for Angel to see how much it normally sells for. Be prepared for lots of interest from overseas though (I never post overseas and say so in my listings so when I see 15 new messages asking 'Hi will you ship to Malta/Cyprus/Italy?', my heart sinks). :(

This used to really annoy me too, but now I live overseas, and having seen the prices, it suddenly makes sense! Buying things on ebay and paying international shipping if possible, is waaaaay cheaper. Plus some things aren't sold here. Don't worry, having been on the other side, I'll only be buying from people who already list as shipping overseas :)

Oh, and bringing back large suitcases of stuff every time I fly back :A

UU to report to finish the month with a flourish. A 500 ml of Radox's African Savannah Rooibos and Red Thyme Bath Soak, that I've been using as shower gel as I can't take baths (arthritis).

In the interests of science and because I wanted to know what it was like as shampoo, I used it up today as shampoo and shower gel with dregs poured into the manuka honey and oat milk hand wash.

It was fine, hair actually still smells of rooibos a little bit and that's after a dab of tea tree conditioner and a squirt of Swisshh! leave in detangler.
Logic dictates that being the same chemical base as shampoo, it would have been fine but one never knows, does one? WIBA? No, but next year might buy the shower gel again, I've had this before.

Have the OS Lime and Sweet Chilli Shower Spice to use with lime body butter and the Virgin Vie Shower Juice to use with the pomegranate body butter. Both should last for Feb.

  • Well I did join this challenge a little late ... but I can say since joining I haven't spent any money :D Long may this continue... I have enough of most things to last me quite a while ;) TBH I always used to see a great offer and think I can't NOT buy it!! but now I realise there are offers on so often I'm not really missing out at all. I will be continuing on into Feb and beyond so long as my stash holds out :rotfl:

No UUs, but am chucking the dregs of a Chanel powder that's gone cakey, and a Clinique blusher that is falling apart! Also going to throw out some old bronzing pearls - have realised that if I don't, since I don't wear bronzer often, I will never be free of them! I have 2 unopened bronzers, and want to use them instead.
