Another UU for me - Soap and Glory hand wash from a set I got for Christmas a couple of years ago with a bottle of hand food. It did the job ok as a hand wash but I prefer something anitbacterial like carex which is why it has sat around for so longer, the label has peeled off hence I don't know the name and it's faded slightly too. So no I wouldn't buy again, nothing wrong with the product and it felt nice on my hands.

Those of you who remember or bought a big deluxe Gok set, how much were they in the sale? I hoped I would get one for christmas but never, then missed out in the sale :o I am now watching/bidding on some on ebay but don't want to spend more than they were in the sale.

    Many thanks :D

I am watching one at the moment which is at £4.70 with free p&p and 4 days to go :p I don't need one (have 3  2 in gift stash and one for OH to give me at some point ;)) but am watching to see what price it goes for with the free postage as I may put one of mine on :D

I have few UUs to report

1 Lush melting marshmallows moments Bath Melt - WIBA? Yes I think, it was good but next time will use it with a bubble bath as otherwise I get bored in the bath as don't have the bubbles to play with

Buy a set of rubber ducks :rotfl: I got OH some for his birthday last year - he loves them :o

Lush Tea Tree toner Tab - WIBA - It was good but too epensive for one time use.

These are what I am using as toner at the mo'. I can't be doing with the hot facial steamy thing - my face is too hot and red as it is - but I'm dissolving them in hot water and letting them cool and decanting into an empty toner bottle. You can do the whole steamy thing and then use the water after - I got that from the LUSH paper/catalogue :D Am hoping one tab will last a week - so justifys the price a bit more :p

.....Thank you! I shall pop to local chemist tomorrow to price it up! :):D:D

You can get 500ml pots in 99p shop or £land :D:D Guess how much for .... :rotfl:
......Sun, Moon, Stars has been my favourite fragrance since it was first released back in the early/mid 90's.......

I got a small bottle for either my 16th or 18th Birthday (thats how old I am ;)) and used to take it everywhere with me :p Will have to put it on my 'remember I want this when it's time to buy' list :rotfl:

One UU and one Chuck Out today:

    UU:
Christy's Pineapple and Almond Face Scrub: WIBA? Not sure if I could - the packaging design had a faint whiff of the 80's about it  so not even sure where it came from. Very pineappley though and lots of scrubby bits :D Will keep my eyes open for it

    Chuck Out:
Sadly my home made Maple Taffy Lip Scrub went a bit funny so have binned it :( Still, at least I tried :rotfl:

Started using my inherited Gok Body Butter tonight and OH said 'mmm you smell nice' which bodes well for the big box ;) (he did turn straight over and go to sleep though  so maybe not :rotfl:)

I think someone has informed eBay I am not allowed to buy anything as the few bits I have bid on have all gone wildly above what I (or any normal person!) would pay for them. I've been good though - I won't go above what I'm willing to pay no matter how much I want it :T Just watching one P&P serum now and have deleted everything else :T:T

Just need to stay away from the Grabbit board now .... :o

Some INs and some give aways to report.

Firstly the outs donated to my mum-
    • EA Skin Simple Moisture Lotion 50mls x2
    • No 7 P & P Day cream 50ml
    • Nivea Night Cream 50ml
    • No7 P & P Day cream 15ml mini x 2
For the last few days I have opened and been using the P & P day cream and my face has reacted badly to it with a complete breakout of sore, red, large spots :(. This is the only change in my skincare so I am not happy. I have used this previously a few years ago and been quite pleased but I think my skin has changed since then. Since starting this challange in Oct my skin has been the best in years and I think that is because I am now using the right products for my skin. Hence the give away in older creams that are going to a good home. Also I hated the Nivea night cream - too greasy.

    Also a few Ins

No7 Balanced Results Day Cream 50mls - used Boots £5 voucher and 250 points voucher. Having cleared out my day creams I felt justified in getting this.

Also only have the one opened that I am using so got a good deal on Listerine Mouthwash 500ml in Wilkos. Only £1.69 for 500mls so bought 4 :D

Sarah*a - hope all goes well at the docs and you get a good nights sleep tonight.

Just a quick drop in, shall waffle tomorrow!
The person with the hands, erm, Salski(?) Are you wearing gloves when you go outside? The cold is awful at the moment and it really strips the hands. Of course, then we put on moisturiser and go out with wet hands and it just gets worse. Mine are a bit red and blotchy at the moment.
I'm sporting a very fetching cut wedding ring finger. Doorbell rang at 1.30 so I eventually got out of bed to answer it (nobody there). Turned round and headed back to bed and thought my finger was throbbing a bit. I looked down at it and it was dripping blood nicely. Don't know what I did to it though. Ah the joys of split nights. Well, I did email my boss and tell her I would get ill if I kept getting split nights. I may not survive long enough to become ill!
Catch you at some stage tomorrow, I'm off tomorrow night.

  • Not been on here in a few days, but i have 2 UU's to report in!

Lush American Cream Condition 500g - WIBA? Yes, i love this conditioner, but I still have a few more in my stash to get through first. Plus I am starting to think that £10 odds for the 500g bottle is a bit of a rip off.....hmmm
Lush Keep It Fluffy Ballistic WIBA? Maybe, it's not one of my favourite ballistics, but it's nice.

I haven't posted a lot, but I do try to keep up with the thread (which is pretty difficult as it moves so fast!) first of all, a big well done to everyone who has been using up over the past month, it definitely feels better to see the empty space and bottles in the bin than adding more to the stash:T

I have looked at the UU for the month and it comes to about 30 items :j(with some cheating-sample sizes, giving things away etc;))
which I'm really pleased. My total spend in jan came to £13.26 but this was cotton wool, deodorant, almond oil etc. so that's okay:D

very tempted by the glamour clinique freebies, so I will try to use up some more in February to make up for it.

This thread has helped me cut down on spending on clothes etc and thinking twice before I buy. I know buy what I know I will use, so thankyou everyone!

    errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrm maybe..... :cool::eek::j

NOT that we will be buying of course - being :A .....

unless anyone took advantage of the magazine deal - £6 for 6 months, with £5 cashback - and Glamour are the only mag I know of that sends you the freebies! What are the freebies anyway?? :o

Morning all, hope you are well, I haven't been on here since Friday afternoon and found I had c. 10pages to get through  you definitely are a bunch of talkers - remind me not to leave this board for that long again :rotfl: I apologise if I have missed anything, but my head is swimming with all the posts so it is not intentional - I will try and recap what I have been thinking of whilst reading the posts.

I have finally started to see the bottom of one of the eyeshadow pans on one of my pallette so results are starting to happen :T I think that I have about 3 of these pallets and think that it will take a year to use each one up

I also have UU a can of mini hairspray and made a dent on a larger can...I actually bothered to GHD curl my hair on Saturday night and got lots of compliments on it, so I think the inconvenience of doing it does pay off!

RE how my stash came around...I'm a bit of a tomboy (like Joey Potter from Dawsons Creek) :o and I walked past 3 boots and 1 superdrug to and from the office every morning whilst working in London! I used to see all the glamorous office workers and there was me, hair in a ponytail and just a slick of mascara and bronzer - I always felt very inadequate and used to guilt buy to try and 'make me/force myself' to use the moisturisers/make up/nail varnishes to make myself look glamorous - but I would lose the will to use them after a couple of goes. Even by doing this challenge I slack off from using my products consistently, but now I do have a full face of make up on everyday, it's just the hair and moisturising I have to tackle :rotfl: . Surprisingly, with the fake tan that is something I never go without so I don't know how this has ingrained itself into my routine but some thing as simple as body butter application can't!

On that note, I arrived home from London (with 2 ins from the hotel - a mini shampoo and a mini body wash - will be UU quickly - but I left the soap behind as I knew I wouldn't use that :o to find my cousin had been up with 2 bottles of my Vita Liberata tan that had been reduced to £1 in Boots!!! Great bargain, they must have new packaging but I'm glad that I didnt go into town and stock up after finding out about this :T

I used up one bottle of SunShimmer (just the dregs - don't worry I didn't go orangutango with a whole bottle :rotfl: ) so that is one down, and a whole line to go!

And nothing happened yesterday, too hungover to do much  so will have to cut down el alcohol consumption this coming weekend!

Have a good day ladies, I'm sure i'll be pottering around on the boards intermittently!xx

    HELP!

Hello ladies - if anyone in the world would know - it would be you guys....last few weeks my hands have become so dry! On the backs of my hands the skin sometimes gets inflamed they are that dry. I apply hand cream all the time and slap extra on at night, but nothing is helping and they are so bad! Any ideas on what I can do to help them, or what products I could buy to help them? Please??

one old fashioned idea is to put a teaspoon of oil(olive, almond or what ever else you have) on the palm of your hand then add a teaspoon of sugar and rub in all over hands, the sugar exfoliates and the oil sinks in to moisturise.if you did it it at night you couls put cotton gloves on top to kep moisture in........costs nothing so worth a try:)

Not going shopping today so I can now report that my total spend for January was £1.94 on two bottles of OS shower gel from Wilkinson's! (Half price)

February should be a completely spend-free month in cash, as there is nothing I am due to run out of, if I don't go mad, though hair conditioner will run low, so that may be got with Tesco / Boots vouchers/ points.
