One IN and one OUT here.
IN- freebie of Olay Regenerist Flawless Skin cream. Looking forward to trying this as I do love this range.
OUT- Delicious Night (type) oil from Perfume Parlour. I have so many more perfumes to use up I won't buy again yet but possibly in the distant future:D
I'll have a few more outs later as I have a few bits ending on eBay today.0 -
Hello,
2 UUs for me today:
John Frieda hair colour foam - WIBA? Not sure yet as my hair is still wet. It was a bit easier to apply than my normal colour, but not massively so.
Sachet of Bliss blood orange and white pepper body butter. WIBA? No chance, this smells disgusting! Bit like a cleaning product.
Ins:
GOSH concealer and mouthwash, as have neither in the stash.
Have a good sunday! x0 -
Yikes!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek:Must add mine up too
I added mine up and it came to £100.0 (hangs head in shame) but they were good buys and for all the family (that's how I justify it to MrM!):-
2 x L'Occitane liquid soap on offer at JL for £20.00 rather than RRP £32.00 (in the stash at the time I had one eco refill left)
484ml bottle of Ojon shampoo on offer at JL for £22.00 rather than QVC price of £39.00 (at time I only had 2 x bottles of Aussie shampoo in and some travel sized L'Occitane Verbana shampoo which I've mostly used up this month)
Ojon TSV was £29.00 excl p&p but did have 2 x 250ml Ojon shampoo and conditioner, 100ml pot of the treatment and a full size of the glossing spray (only product that I'm not that impressed with) - promise faithfully not to buy any more hair products with the exception of S&G Conditioner which I intend to redeem Advantage points for when I can get it. This is so that my daughter keeps her hands off my Ojon supply.
2 x OPI lacquers - £12.00 plus p&p equated to £7.00 per bottle. I was repurchasing colours that I'd used up.
Boots No 7 night cream £5.00 (used voucher so half price) (in stash at the time half a tube of Elemis Maximum Moisture (is spluttering now) and half a pot of Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference
Elemis Shave Gel and Cleanser for MrM - £15.00 and
12.00 respectively - were reduced and free delivery offered. I bought MrM some of these for Christmas and he has really taken to them so thought I'd stockpile a little for him.
I'm going to Boots on Monday but only want to get the S&G Conditioner and maybe some muslin cloths with my £5.00 voucher. NOTHING ELSE.
Have thrown something away today - Philosophy The Present - didn't have much left of it but have given up with it as it's making my skin oily.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Plus this DOES NOT include any cleansing products, or toners, or exfoliators. Damn! The very reason I buy a gift with purchase is to get my Clarins cleansers. Shame as John Lewis are normally very helpful and stuff.
the jL offer has not arrived at my door yet but will look out for it.Clarins website has a 50% off sale on a few things at the mo 1st time I have seen that!I bought some eye cream in the last clarins bonus time as it was a fairly cheap item and is still going strong(did the same thing with clinique but with lip balm!)John lewis in my area has a clarins spa and you can get loyalty points when you buy clarins to use on treatments(not done so so far as bought stuff from boots/debs.
hoping to go to town next week if the weather gets warmer:)but will steer clear of BS as don't want any more body butter:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
A few ins to report
but have had more UU's and in this month so at least my stash is lessening. Finished a Mitchum AP Spray only to find no more in my stash:eek: I cant believe I had so many of these a couple of years ago I sold loads at a car boot for £1 each (I paid pennies for them) never thought I would run out! I do have other deodrants in my stash, including 3 mitchum roll ons, but I think the Mitchum spray is my HG after trying loads of others. I saw it was on offer in Tesco 2 for £3 so I bought 2, in the old days I probably would have bought at least 2 or 3 lots so an improvement.
I also bought the L'oreal eye make up remover from Sainsburys that everyone recommends, dont usually use eye make up removers as when I have used in the past they have always irritated my eyes, so fingers crossed this will be ok, did try last night and my eyes were fine.
I also bought a John Frieda hair colour I received a £2.50 coupon for as I saw it was on offer in Tesco, have been wanting to try this and hair colours are something I dont have too many of and I use every 6-8 weeks, rather buy now with the offer and coupon than pay full price in a few weeks when I need one.
I also bought sally hansen natural shine in pink to try on my nails, as I think they look dreadful at the moment and nail varnish never stays on my hands. I tried in this morning and nails are looking better, but will see how it lasts, only costs me 79p in TJ Hughes, as they have 20% off everything, so not lost much if it helps how they look. Probably should have done this tonight as planning to do some DIY this afternoon so not sure how it will fare.
I also bought scholl healthy nails, my toe nails look discoloured when I remove my nail polish so thought I would give this a go to see if it would improve them. I only paid £1 in Poundland, so again big saving and not much lost if it doesnt help. Looking better after the 1st use, but I have put nail polish over the top as they still dont look good enough for the natural look. Will report back if any good/or not.
Panty liners, are they counted? I use these every day, dont like the cheap ones have tried them all, so as I had a moc and they were on offer in sainsburys when I went to the get L'oreal I bought 1 pack. As I use daily even though I have a few packs in my stash I only buy when I can get cheap. Also DD also takes a pack when she comes home from uni so they will not last long.
I have been concentrating on using up my open products, or products passed from my DD who had opened and then not finished this month so have used up quite a few things, probably more than usual.
Not sure whether this counts or not, I have bought 2 KGB beauty deals:eek: I dont usually go for beauty treatments unless they are free, but there were 2 things I had always wanted to try on offer this week, - £10 for a full waxing package, and £9 for a spray tan, manicure, toenail file and polish so I was tempted. I will potentially get some cashback on one of the offers also. Have fancied having these done for a while but have always been put off by the price, they are valid for a couple of months so not going to use yet.
Off to the naughty step for the next 51 mins and hoping for a better month in February as aiming for a no spend.
PS. Just noticed people are giving a total spend for the month so updated post with mine - £14.18 for products bought and £19 for beauty treatments so £33.18 in total - hoping seeing this will make me improve next month.0 -
Hiya
Jaks - Congrats on a no buying month, i'm hoping for one in February, but with only buying a couple of things in Jan, I think im on the right track...
one UU today - nivea pearl deodrant WIBA - yea if on offer, but got a few different ones in my stash at the minute....
one throw away - Sanctuary Body Lotion, i'm a bit annoyed with this , been using Sanctuary a while, however this bottle had been open ages! Blathered myself in it this morning, as wanted to use it up and within 5 mins I felt as though I was burning everywhereI gave it five minutes but then couldn't stand it, so jumped in shower and washed it off...... I feel ok now, but never felt like that before.....
Just listed some bits on ebay that i wont use, had a good ebay week this week, need to get OH to take stuff to post office for me tomorrow :rotfl::rotfl:
Will a new thread start for February???Challenges - repay all credit cards by end of 2015Starting the savings for retirement :rotfl:

I thought I'd been doing pretty well on the 'no buying' front this month but I've just totalled up what I've spent - £35.72:eek:, if I do this every month then that will be £428.64 in a year on lotions & potions :eek::eek::eek::eek:, enough for a very nice little holiday!
methinks it's time to catch a mighty big grip on my toiletries addiction !!!!!!!
so I'm aiming for No buying in February at all!!
I wonder whether a Last unplanned spend date on my sig but also a running total of unplanned spends would be a good disincentive not to misbehave!! Then you can see if bad ways are totalling up through the year.Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
