  • One more UU today! BS rainforest hair butter. WIBA? I do love this, but as I have really thick hair it doesn't last very long. So £8 for a pot seems quite expensive. Especially as I'm trying to save. So... I've decided to try a boots coconut and almond mask instead.
    Hope it's nice!

Ok, I didn't think the problem was that bad... until I organised the stash into a word document to put up in february. We're onto two pages.... and that's only from one house. !!!
  • Two UU to report- Boots Botanics day cream WIBA yes definately, nice and think and BF loves the smell
Pink bath bomb from Nottcutts- WIBA yep although it smells nothing like as nice as a Lush one but it turns the bath pink and has flowers in and bubbles too!

Just opened the Dove Spa face cream for the next facial moisturiser
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales

Finally opened my 3 pack of Champneys body butters (minis) from 2 years ago Christmas present - only to discover I've gone off that smell! A definite Pink candle lesson - had I used them when I got them I would have enjoyed them!

Have been really bad this month - this thread is a bad influence cos I hear about some many good deals! LOL! See how I am displacing the blame for my own weaknesses......I am wise enough not to go near the grabbit board at least.

Have totalled how much I spent in the sales on toiletries and am too ashamed to post it - but it's cold turkey all the way now. :(
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!
  • Some more uu's today -

Chunk rockstar soap, wiba, yes. Although I prefer summer pudding now and I have loads of lush soap to work through I am certain I will end up buying it again.

Magic mushroom, wiba, no not this year but I have one in the stash. Otherwise I may get one next year, if I go to town around valentines.

I love the lip shimmers too. I've just bought a three pack of the lip balms which are not the same unfortunately. They are just as moisturising but no added colour.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

my goal which is to be debt-free by the time I'm 47 (42 at the mo) and I know that it's 5 years but each day that goes by I'm a little bit closer, and the support on these threads is so wonderful ! .

Good luck with it Tracey - I am hoping to be mortgage free in by 40 (I'm 33 now and I'm am overpaying)
    morning all:wave:,

I thought I'd been doing pretty well on the 'no buying' front this month but I've just totalled up what I've spent - £35.72:eek:, if I do this every month then that will be £428.64 in a year on lotions & potions :eek::eek::eek::eek:, enough for a very nice little holiday!

methinks it's time to catch a mighty big grip on my toiletries addiction !!!!!!!

so I'm aiming for No buying in February at all!!

Think I will be adding my spending total up as well - that is frightening! Can't remember who to credit with that idea...??
    Thanks tracey2609
    I'm 42 as well
wish I would be debt free when 47 but am 1 year into a 23 year mortgage!
Am overpaying it as much as I can tho
All the best to you for the next 5 years!

    Good luck :)

Have thrown something away today - Philosophy The Present - didn't have much left of it but have given up with it as it's making my skin oily.

I got this before Christmas in TK Maxx - never tried it before and I am now really worried about it as I have oily skin and am prone to break outs. :(

one throw away - Sanctuary Body Lotion, i'm a bit annoyed with this , been using Sanctuary a while, however this bottle had been open ages! Blathered myself in it this morning, as wanted to use it up and within 5 mins I felt as though I was burning everywhere :( I gave it five minutes but then couldn't stand it, so jumped in shower and washed it off...... I feel ok now, but never felt like that before.....

I had to toss out a 250mls bottle over Christmas as it went on like out of date suntan lotion - Think I got off lightly. As long as it hasn't damaged your skin - that's the main thing.

Well done Jacks - no spends all month :T

    Nice stash list EH :D

  • Those of you who remember or bought a big deluxe Gok set, how much were they in the sale? I hoped I would get one for christmas but never, then missed out in the sale :o I am now watching/bidding on some on ebay but don't want to spend more than they were in the sale.

    Many thanks :D

A Not Bought In A 200 ml M & S Ingredients Pomegranate Body Butter. Friend was given it for Christmas and it's not the sort of thing she uses. It's got a really strong scent, but it's one I like. I have just one body butter which is really a thick lotion in a tube, so I will alternate this with the lighter lotions.

A UU Beauty Formulas Menthol and Peppermint Intensive Foot Cream. WIBA Yes, next year, although this is a lotion, not a cream. It's not as nourishing as the name suggests but is a good strongly scented lotion that offers good resistance to pongy feet sweating in winter boots!
I've decided that it's a lotion if a blob of it drips off your fingertip when applied and cannot defy gravity. Creams can defy gravity. Think that's a reasonable definition!
