    Woo hoo - ANOTHER UU! :j :j :j :j :j

Nivea Body Rich Care Body Moisturiser. WIBA? The bottle I've got came as part of a set given as a present. The only problem is that it was for dry skin, which I don't have, so it was too rich really, but I think it was pretty good stuff, otherwise. And it took AGES to use: this bottle took nearly a year to get through.

Now I just need to get through the shower oils, which looks really rich, but I'll see what I can do. ;)

OK - I have a question and I figured I'm in the right place for the answer :p

I have only one bottle of shampoo :j but umpteen bottles of showergel/bodywash :(:( To maximise my stash useage (and, of course, save money - no! Not for lipbalm :o:rotfl:) can I use showergel as shampoo? I know some of them (LUSH Snow Fairy for example) is classed as a 'Hair and Body Wash' (or some such thing) and most of the ingredients seem to be the same.

I will also be using conditioner as I've yet to find a non-creamy shampoo that doesn't make my hair go icky and need to condition anyway after every wash just so I can get a brush through it :o I also do a treatment about once a week which helps with any niggles and - TBH - I have very forgiving hair :D A year ago it was short, peroxide and hot pink highlights  - now it's shoulder length glossy rich chocolate mahogany brown.

I am of the opinion of hair that if I balls it all up I can just cut it off and start again so will - and have :o - tried almost anything.

So! Showergel as Shampoo? Thumbs Up :D or Thumbs Down :(

    TIA:cool:

Well I'm still awake, still in pain and still here :(

....but I have just seen a post on the 'shop but don't drop' forum that Superdrug are launching a Loyalty Card (a la Advantage Points) in May :j

    Has anyone else heard anything?

I would try the shower gels as shampoos and see how you get on. I have been known to do it if I run out of shampoo (like that ever happens!) or want to see the back of something. Give it a whirl!
I never see anything I fancy in superdrug. Sometimes go in there for nailvarnish but haven't needed to for a while as have a few bottles already and DD has lots and lots!

  • Could you give any of the body butters or hand creams as a little set as a pressie for someone? :A

Or, alternatively, keep them to use yourself but NOT BUY ANYMORE?! (I think that option seems unlikely!) :D

I'd give it a go - as Kaz says, try it and see how you go. The ones that are designated as hair & body might be the best ones to try first, but as you say I suspect the only major difference is levels of some of the products for lathering etc - we expect a creamier lather from a shampoo than from a body wash. Your hair sounds fab! Mine is fairly happy to be coloured and a few years ago it used to change colour through the spectrum from black to reddish quite frequently, but it is also fairly dry through the lengths so I have to be reasonably careful with it. At the moment it's a dark brown and desperately in need of a cut (Which it might get done the week after next assuming my client settle their invoice straight away!).

Good tip off about the Superdrug points thing too - will be interesting to see if that materialises as I know Superdrug's stance has always been that they have targetted prices to be sufficiently cheaper than Boots that they can justify not having a loyalty scheme - IMO though this is rarely the case - they are often 1 - 2% cheaper (literally pennies) but not the 5% they ned to be to beat the advantage card draw, and that is before the regular incentives of extra points etc from Boots.

I've actually price-compared on products between SD & Boots, but rarely found sufficient price difference. Also as you say Kaz it doesn't hold the same temptation for me as Boots although I'm not sure why that is - layout and familiarity perhaps?

I was told this by a SA in superdrug a couple of weeks ago, apparently the staff already have them and it will be rolled out to the public in April/May, - hope you got some sleep Sarah and you are feeling a bit better, xx

p.s. how much really is achievable in 5 weeks?

Without opening my mouth and putting my foot in it... :p depends how much you have to lose?? I would say realistically 2lb per week.....

I've just ordered 3 bottles of Batiste from Superdrug  I dont have any in my stash and figured it might come in handy in the first few weeks after bump is born.... and at 3.49 for three cans delivered, I thought it was worth a shot.....

My new theory being ordering online saves a trip into town, so i'll be saving money in the long run......

On another note, asked OH to do the weekly shop on his way home from nights this morning...... I've just seen the receipt  think its safe to say it wont be happening on a weekly basis :rotfl::rotfl:

I'm sorry to hear that you are in pain - going without sleep is the worst thing - especially when you are poorly.

I've got another UU to report Toni & Guy Heat Defence Spray - WIBA? Yes - but not for a while, I've got so much stuff in my stash. I've got fairly curly hair - which was fine when my hair was longer, but since the treatment it's taken ages to grow back and it's still quite short and if I dry it curly it looks like like Ronald McDonald if someone had put an iron on his head

Although the minute I decided this I found out Debs were doing Clinique bonus time in February. Which no-one on here will buy obviously!:p

How did you find this out? I need to know when the next Clarins gift thingy will be :o
