I have loads of stuff to use - that I have been saving for a special occasion (?! why do we do this) and need to tighten my belt due to emergency home repairs removing a big chunk of my savings in January.
I hope the only things I will have to buy for the next 12 months are alcohol free toner which I use by the bucketload and shampoo as I am still searching for something that will deal with my dandruff (yuck). Luckily OH will use up any of my cast offs.
Any reccommendations for Shampoo will be greatfully received - at the moment I am trying the Lush "Snake Oil" bar with a moderate degree of success - but it does require some planning ahead to use.
2 UU to report - one Philosophy "When Hope is Not Enough" night cream and one Boots moisturising day cream (travel sized).
Hello and welcome :j
Some quick tips about dandruff shampoo and stuff:
- do you shower or bath? shower helps get rid of all soap suds
- do you use any other hair products such as mousse or serum, as perhaps they are aggravating your hair/scalp
- have you tried shampoos that do not contain sodium laureth sulphate (SLS) - its a chemical foaming agent. Oxfam sell faith in nature, Liz Earle does a shampoo now (not tried it tho). Some skin can be sensitive to SLS.
- i once read about a model who treats her hair with jojoba oil and jasmine oil - so perhaps that might be worth a go
- on the ultra cheap side I've tried and dont mind the Asda own brand anti dandruff shampoo and conditioner - it's about a quid and is in a dark blue bottle.
Right off for a pamper and a rest :ADeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

I haven't been posting but am still following the challenge I had been really good and not bought anything since 6th august apart from essenstials for the family. Since the beginning of the month I have been reducing my stash at a tremendous rate sometimes 2 to 3 products a day no I haven't been using that many I have been decluttering and have thrown a lot of old stuff and put everything unopened for a bootsale in the summer, however I did pick up a dove set this morning in Asda it was only £2.50 and contains a full size deodrant, body lotion, bodywash and showerpuff it's a really nice white bag.
I am torn between keeping it or using it as a present next year. DD who is 6 did ask why I have bought another bag when I already have a wardrobe full of bags, I think she has a very valid point but it is nice.
What should I do?0 -

My policy on bargains over the Christmas period has been 'keep it for a present as I have things that are more likely to go off before I get round to this, but if I haven't given it away by the time I get to the end of my stash for genuine reasons, then...'

Thanks Mineallmine,
I am fanatical about rinsing my hair and don't use any products (bit of a slacker in the hair styling department), but thanks for the tip on the SLS will have a good read of all my shampoo ingredient lists when I get home.
I noticed when walking through John Lewis the other day they have a massive new Liz Earle display, so might check out the shampoo when I've got down to the end of my snake oil bar.0 -
Yet ANOTHER UU!
N07 Soft and Soother Toner. WIBA? Maybe. It's not really for my skin type, but it was cheap and I was desperate, and it doesn't seem to have done a bad job.
The best thing about it, though, was that it lasted absolutely AGES! I'm sure this it due to the fact that it came in a little pump bottle so you could measure how much you put on your cotton wool pad more accurately that just slapping it on. I'm now using a green tea toner, but have kept the bottle to put the 2 bottles of Liz Earle I then have to use up afterwards as I always seem to dribble too much of that onto the cotton wool when I'm pouring it out.
Also, my face feels amazing from using my new moisturisers. I'm seriously impressed, and glad I have 2 big 200g pots of it. :j
Now I've had a run of UUs I bet I won't have anything for ages, apart from the Nivea body lotion I'm using which is banging on death's door, but just won't give in. It all seems to go at about the same time. Must mean that I started it at all about the same time, I guess. Please call me 'Pickle'

Using up some lovely Clarins products (body serum concentrate or something)

The shampoo is lovely - I've had a couple of samples of it. There is also a Louise Galvin SLS free one which you can get in Waitrose which is good, I find.Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

May I join this thread? I just did a count of all toiletries and makeup and found 177 items!! Many are GWP's, but I live alone so it's mine all mine! Admittedly, some are in the presents drawer, but that's still cluttering the place up.
I can report a SPLUTTERER: No. 7 Protect and Perfect hand cream.
OT, I think we need to start a list like this for cleaning products; while looking for toiletries I realised how many of them I have! Deep down I think I buy cosmetics feeling that just buying them will make me look better and buying cleaning products will make my home clean!Toiletries Starting Stash Nov 2013:205

Hi there:wave: The more the merrier, so come on in!
I used to have the same problem with cleaning products but I sorted that out. I haven't bought any since the summer and my stash is almost gone. I'm finding this one harder tho, cosmetics are just so much prettier than a bottle of Flash :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0
