Hi guys, sold a couple more of my Lush shower gels and a moisturiser that had gone out of date! Chucked out a rather old Dermalogica Active Moist, it was starting to smell a little bit. This means I only have the LRP moisturiser (which is spluttering) and an Avene one to go and then I need new skin care.

In that frame of mind, I have one IN to report: Liz Earle Young Skin skincare set. Basically I think my skin needs to be exfoliated every day in order to look good but I don't want to use a harsh cleanser. So decided to give the old Cleanse and Polish a go. Here's hoping it will work when it gets here!

1 UU (actually a throw out) Simple facial mosituriser, it smelled disgusting, didn't sink into my skin, tried it on my fet but the smell was truly awful, so ended up binning it.
Have a couple of splutters, Johnsons Holiday Skin - WIBIA probably but not in any rush just yet!
Packing my suitcase tonight, going on holiday on Saturday so will take some of mini sample bottles to get used up. Hopefully I will make an indent on my stash!

    Woohoo

Another UU - it was an Eternity shower Gel - came as part of a set with the perfume and yes IWBA as it seemed to help the perfume last longer - don't know if you can buy it on it's own though and my current perfumes came with body lotion?????

And another day without buying any toiletries :rotfl::rotfl:

Off to update my sig and put another £1 in the owl :D
:naughty: Save money on toiletries: no new/duplicate items until I've used up all existing supplies

    Hi everyone

No UU's today but many splutterers. Anyway, as my 7.5ml of Alpha H eye complex is nearly at an end I have just bought a replacement. The Body Shop Vit E eye cream 15ml was £9.50 but with a discount and free delivery I got it for £4.65 so feel pleased and looking forward to trying it and much cheaper than Alpha H!:T

    :)Some planned ins:
    - Dermologica exfoliant Skin Prep - plus a couple of samples/sachets which I'll put in my travel bag.
    - Avon order of Cashmere foundation.

    :oSome unplanned ins:
    - Sugar magazine (£2.99) have 3 BarryM pencils (double ended so 6 colours). One of the colours I like is the blue one which alone in Boots is about £4. So I will lob the old blue one away that I have - cos I have had it years.

Used a better quality bronzer today (Clarins v Elf) and two people said how well/nice I looked today. So I will bin the remainder of the Elf one - it's run out of the main 3 colours i like to use out of the palette of 4. Just shows you that you think ah that's a bargain but other people can provide good feedback :)

Forgot to add that I need to add £2 to my sealed tin for using up/chucking the old eye pencil and nearly worn out (makes me look worn out) bronzer. I'm trying to build these up so I can pop the odd note into the tin :)

Some more "out"s from me - no "in"s yet this month, though I have been sorely tempted by the Inika products on secretsales.com today!

I have promised myself that next time they come up at those prices, I will be able to buy something :) By then I will have totally sorted my makeup too, so will know if I need anything! (though I probably won't need any makeup for the next 10 years!)

    Used up: :T

    - Night facial moisturiser, was a trial product. Think it was Or!f1ame. (50mL). WIBA? No, not even if I knew what it was. It was too rich for me.
    - Eau Dynamisante shampoo (50mL). From a GWP. WIBA? No, it gave me spots on my scalp.
    - Australian Bodycare Daily conditioner (50mL). WIBA? Probably not (although I do have a full sized one in my stash!). It was fine for occasional use, but really I prefer a heavier duty conditioner.
    - the healing garden chamomile aromatherapy body lotion (200mL). WIBA? Not sure if I could! It smelt nice, though, and was good for using at bf's house. Quite moisturising too.
    - Lancome Attraction EdT (30mL). WIBA? Possibly. It was a lovely scent and I enjoyed wearing it. However, it's not my favorite scent, so I may try some others first.
    - Lancome Attraction body lotion (50mL). Came in gift set with EdT above. WIBA? Only if buying the perfume!
    - Lancome Attraction shower gel (50mL). Came in gift set with the two items above. WIBA? Only if buying the perfume, and even then possibly not, as I find a shower gel the least likely to leave a lasting scent on my skin.
    - Clinique blended face powder, transparency 3 (4.2g – travel sized). WIBA? Yes, probably. This has been lying around for ages, but it is a nice powder. I have others to use up before I buy powder again, though.

    Thrown out: :o

    - Mitchum Cool Dry stick deodorant. About 2 cm left of it, but it broke off so is now unusable. WIBA? Probably not in the powderfresh scent, which seems to smell weird on me. The other scents are good, though.
    - Facial cream cleanser (150mL) approx. half full. I think it might have been St Ives brand. Received to trial (hence not knowing the brand), it did not suit my skin at all. I felt that it did not wash off very well, and the scrubby bits that were in it did not scrub very well either. WIBA? No!

I'm new to this thread, but I must admit that I only came to have a look because on the 2011 decluttering thread lots of people were talking about the toiletries challenge *nosey smiley*

I must admit I don't tend to hoard toiletry stuff (sensitive skin plus expensive tastes mean it would be difficult/pricey to do!!) but I do often rip out those little sample sachets from magazines, most of which I can't use because of my sensitive skin, so then they hang around in my dressing table drawer, unused. But I gave a load to my Mum at Christmas (it wasn't her present!) to get rid of them.

    Hello TheDD! :jwelcome aboard
So no problem in stashing skincare, make-up, hair styling products, shampoo/ conditioner, nail polishes? Or shower gel, hand pump cleanser thingies?:A

I have 2 UU's. 2 lipbalms. 1 cherry jobby WIBA?: Yes, cheap and cheerful and worked well. 1 aloe vera (not UU, DS took it to school and lost it. Not a happy Mummy :() WIBA?: It's quite expensive so I would have to really consider this. It depends if I can find a cheaper one that's as nice. Well the cherry one is but it doesn't smell as nice IYKWIM?
Head's throbbing so I shan't be doing my hot exfoliating olay wash tonight. Can't bear the thought of having to touch it. Will just use a flannel and soapy water on the rest of my face and put my night cream on below the eyebrows.
Went for a lie down at 12 and left a note for DH (he comes home at lunch time) saying to come and check I was still alive. He came up at the end of his lunch as he'd only just found the note that I left in the middle of the lounge floor. Just as well I wasn't dead wasn't it!

  • I'm having a PYN day today - I'm sitting here reading the forum waiting for my nails to dry - one coat of clear on my right hand to go. They are "Passionate" which is like a dark blue almost purple colour from the Strictly Range which I got for Christmas.

Still no ins! I haven't brought any toiletries at all this month! I'm pretty sure that February is going to be a No Toiletries month as well!! Probably March, April, May as well... ;)
