Went into Boots today to ask about the extra item I'd scanned on the SS till. Lovely lady refunded me :)
1 UU - Frizz ease serum, from the Boots haircare voucher when it allowed travel sized to go through. WIBIA - well it was free and it does work when I'm needing to get my hair cut, so possibly yes.
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

Well I have to say I rather enjoyed the experience......... Otherwise it is a £10 treatment which is a lot for 15 mins, so I would class this is a really nice treat for you and a mate. Overall it's very entertaining and sure beats sloughing it off with a pumice in the shower.

Glad you enjoyed it! Thank for updating us - I will get round to booking mine soon :D

    Two UU's and a few IN's today *sigh* :o

    UU's:
LUSH Candy Cane Bubble Bar: WIBA? Probably, if they do it again next year - this was a xmas gift and I've got another one which I got at 50% off. I love the smell but too long in it and I get a sickly-sweet headache - good for letting me know when it's time to get out of the bath :rotfl:
OLAY Total Effects Face Mask: WIBA? Unsure - my face feels great, lovely and smooth and refreshed but boy! was it slimy - YUK! Will have to weigh up how long the effects last verses the feeling that someone has blown their nose and rubbed it on my face _pale_

    IN's:
Gok's Gorgeous Body Butter. DD is here tonight and I was telling her of my almighty Boots shop and that I was being good by giving OH the Gok set I bought myself to put away. She popped upstairs and rummaged in her stash and produced a 3/4 full pot for me. Lovely :D
Aveda Trial Size set. Picked this up at House of Fraser - got my hair consult done too - apparently I have lots of strong fine hair and a slightly dry scalp. The latter can be explained by my mad peroxiding period late 2009 :rotfl: Tiny samples that will prob only last one wash/condition. The serum may last longer. But not much :p

Tried to swap my old manky Avon Mascara for a nice shiny Clinique one today but the counter in our Debenhams has run out and is not expecting any more

Gonna try and sort the spare room out this weekend - hopefully won't find too much stuff in there I have forgotten about :o
  • Hey Mandymoomoo! I tried a sample of Chanel's newest formula - vitaluminiere (not sure of the spelling!) - it's very light coverage, much more like a tinted moisturiser. There are currently samples in quite a few magazines I think, like Elle and Glamour. I usually use No7 Dual protection tinted moisturiser in Fair, which is pretty good, but I've used it for several years now and am getting quite bored with it.

I bought a GOSH foundation brush ages ago and found it quite tricky to use at first because it made me go a bit streaky. I was watching a youtube video last night and the girl spent ages blending it, and that seemed to do the trick! I don't know why it makes such a difference, but my skin looked loads smoother than when I apply it with my fingers, so I'd definitely recommend trying it. I think GOSH brushes are meant to be dupes for MAC, and are a good price. HTH! x :D

Thank you for the advice. Maybe it's worth investing in a good foundation brush. I'll have to have a look round. The Chanel brushes are very expensive, but it would fab to have one x

i'm off to my outlaws this weekend, and i suspect there may be some stash related gift there. I know there's something probably like that as we were given it before christmas but didn't have space to bring it back and didn't open it. Doubt we'll get anything else as OH's family don't really seem to believe in giving gifts just in receiving them.
  • Can recommend the M&S foundation brush - read about it in a mag or somewhere - and it's good. :j

Thank you, might pop in and have a look for one...
It's really good to get peoples recommendations, much more helpful x

Still no UU to report but i do have the following INs to confess :o

    INS:
Soap & Glory Clean On Me 500ml
Soap & Glory Clean On Me 75ml
Soap & Glory The Daily Smooth body butter 250ml
Soap & Glory Flake Away 50ml
    FCUK polished sugarscrub 75ml x 2
    Simply Pure light moisturiser 75ml
Superdrug 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner 300ml
    Total Care toothpaste 100ml
    Total Care toothbrush

Well that looks bad when its actually written down :( All the Soap and Glory stuff i was given for my birthday. The FCUK things were bought so i could get 2 free gifts (which are wrapped and ready to give as presents at the weekend) so by buying these i have saved a few pounds :D The other stuff was free from Superdrug when you bought the Daily Mirror and although im off work this week my mum didn't want me to miss out on the free stuff so brought me round a weeks worth of papers and all the stuff out them  i did give most of the stuff to her but have kept what i will use!

I have spent a small fortune in boots but most of it was on presents for birthdays and am actually quite organised i've only got family ones to get and that's it for the year :T

Hope to have some UUs to report soon

I've read about that too. It's a tool that chic places like SpaceNK sell. I notice QVC sometimes sell it too (handy as you could return it if didnt like it). Basically its an intense cleansing tool with rotating heads. Supposed to be really good. My skin can be sensitive so I'm not ensirely sure. But if your skin is ok now do you really need it? :p
Well my skin is pretty good, but I have issues with the pores on my nose and have heard that this device is brilliant for cleaning pores. I used to go the have facials on a regular basis but don't now due to cost and I have found that regardless of how vigiiant i am with cleansing I end up with blackheads on my nose. Also my friends skin looks fabulous (she has problematic skin) and she said since using it she has not had one breakout!! I do want it but it will have to wait:rotfl:

2 Ins and 1 UU to report.

The ins are not bad really. Went to Boots last night and bought a tub of No.7 Night cream using a £5.00 voucher so it only cost me £5.00. Thought I'd give it a go. Was very good cos MrM was in Duty Free on Thursday and I told him not to bother buying the Clinique one for me. Also bought a No7 pencil sharpener which cost me the princely sum of 79p using another voucher. Was presented with another one so will keep my eye open for muslin cloths.

UU: travel size of L'Occitane Verbena shower gel WIBA? If it came as part of a GWP or TSV but wouldn't look to purchase on its own. Much prefer Philosophy shower gels and have tonnes of these in my stash.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

  • One UU here, Simple nourishing bodywash. WIBA yes it was cheap (I got it at the 99p shop :D) it didn't dry out my skin and did its job.

I can now move on to S&G clean on me.
