Well I heard back from a woman's refuge that's not too far from me and they said they'd happily accept unused toiletries for children/women. Thanks to whoever it was that 1st posted the idea about a week ago!
So have looked through my stash and found 29 items that I can pass on that are practical.
I don't want to give it all away :o and am mindful some of my stash is presents and items that I really want!
(this Christmas gone will be the last time I ask for toiletries as gifts!:rotfl:)
is it cheating to count the items as UUs?

Wow, 29 items is pretty impressive. Bag them up and the DON'T LOOK IN THE BAG AGAIN!! When I do this for the charity shop, I gradually pick the items back out again.....only to be back in the charity shop bag again the following month...!
    :D
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

Ooops. Went in £land today and they had my HG shower gel (Original Source Shea Butter and Honey) so I picked up a couple of bottles, effectively BOGOF. Would have got them in Boots (on offer for £1) but they had run out.

    ** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **

I do it all because I'm scared.
  • Having a break from the big de-clutter to have some lunch! It is crazy the amount of carp i have found!!

So far, have cleared out my 3 drawers in my bedside table under my bed and the "junk drawer", managed to move my tv and xbox into the wee alcove in my wall, and now have all my make up on top of my chest of drawers. Hoping this will make me more inclined to use more products, as its all easy to access now!

Have managed to fit all my underwear, bras and socks into 1 drawer...for the first time ever i think! Now i have products i need to use up in my top drawers!!
Also incase your intrested, i have 2 black bags full for the bin and 1 for the charity shop! I have also threw out 31 pairs of pants, 4 bras, 12 pairs of socks and 5 pairs of shoes!!

    Next up to tackle:
    Bookshelf
    Drawers in my wardrobe
    Shelf
  • Hi Guys!

Still no sign of the hand cream:mad:

Have used up one of my trial pots of Decleor peel off mask.....as my skin is so fragile, this really hurt to pull off, so will not be using this kind of mask again:o....shame as my skin felt lovely after.

Found another Decleor product of an eye and lip mask (full size) which I dont think I listed the other day, so will be using that to make me beautiful:rotfl:...this was a gift btw and not bought by me:D

DD finished up one of her shower gels and OH used 500 points on the advatage card to purchase Boots own baby top to toe wash, so 5 added to the cupboard, so she should be fine for a good while. He also bought a mouthwash which we needed.

    Please so far.

OK mathematicians! I think I may have just had a really good bargain, but I'm a bit too dim to work out the maths...

A couple of weeks ago I went into The Body Shop to buy my sister her birthday present. I bought a £15 gift set ( the pink grapefruit- worth £34), but because I had a £5 off when you spend £20, i bought a Vitamin E cleansing soap and a shea butter soap, totalling £5, so that was free. Total Spend = £15 for £28 worth of stuff.

On the same trip, because it's my birthday month, I got a Moringa large shower gel for £2.50 (meant to be £7.50, but I got £5 off for my birthday). So on that journey, i spent £17.50 for £35 est. stuff.

HOWEVER, today, I got an email notifying me that there was a further 20% off sale items. So i sent my OH to town to return the pink grapefruit set got a refund of £10, and ordered the Large strawberry holdall gift (meant to be £20, apparently worth £45) and paid £16 for it. So for my sisters birthday, I paid £6 right?

So does that mean that I paid £13.50( £6 holdall, £5 for soaps, £2.50 for shower gel) for £59.50's worth of stuff?

*Puts hand in the air* Me! And no, I don't think it's on at all.

And as for hoarding...books, DVDs and CDs are just as bad for me. In fact, I have so many that I started up sister threads to this one to help me get some UUs in those departments, too! (Blatent advertising here and here :rotfl:) Perhaps I'm just meant to be a hoarder?!

Oh, and as for all this cat nonsense, I'm a dog owner! :p (I don't mind them, but dogs are the best! *Cue big fight over which is better*)

wow something i dont have loads of(dvds and cds) well i do hae a few excercise dvds i like to rotate honest ;). bomb cosmetics stuff arrived today in a massive parcel-well chuffed with the deal i got. appart from that today has been a nsd-im hopeing the same with tomorrow but need to go in the town again:eek:only so many times a girl can avoid going mad in boots

Oh this thread is sooooo addictive. :D

Went to Boots the other day and bought some bodyform 24's x 2packs - all bodyform packs were £1. Can't understand why anyone would buy the smaller packs when the larger ones are also £1 Doh!
Have stopped having the depo injection so awaiting my first 'you know what' in 16 years. Hopefully as I am around the dreaded change I won't have them for much longer

Loved the jokes by the way - clink clink !! :rotfl:

Also bought a Sure spray as my Dove was UU - not 'sure' about the spray tho as think I prefer the roll ons. :D

OUTS - A small Estee Lauder, Advanced night repair - looked gunky inside so out it went. Also BS Rainforest Radiance Detangling Spray - bought it as it has no parabens and was for coloured hair - Don't like it on my hair at all - leaves a sort of stiff residue WIBA - No. Might get 50p for it when I do my car bootie as I only used it once.

UU - James Brown Hair serum. WIBA - already have another one. I like it as a little goes a long way and my hair is unruly if just left to dry naturally - so the serum helps. You do have to top it up from time to time.

Well done everyone and keep up the good work :T
  • I have had enough of de-cluttering/moving things about for 1 day! I still have a pile of stuff sitting in the corner i have to go through, but i think i will wait till Sunday to tackle that!

So stuffies i have found that i need to add to the list are:
    Blistex Lip Splash
Gosh Soft and Shine Lipbalm in Barbie
    Avon Sleeptherapy pillow mist 125ml
Avon Footworks Green Tea and Mint Foot Lotion 75ml
    Jergens Naturals Body Lotion 200ml
    Vaseline Dry Skin Lotion 75ml
    Vaseline Cocoa Butter Body Oil
Lush Mr Butterball Ballistic x 2
    Gadi Hand Lotion 250ml
Lanacane anti-chafing gel (use this as a face primer)
    T-Zone Pore Strips x4
    Olive Hair Shine Serum sample

I cannot believe i have found all this stuff stashed away in drawers and hiding under my bed! I feel like i've been shopping!! I am going to update my list now :(

I've stopped buying full sizes or supersizes as they take too long to get through and I get bored and want to try a new shower gel fragrance :D QVC seem to do too many kits with huge sizes and I know I couldn't get through them all. Anyway this was my L'occitane order post.

Now, I prefer the supersize bottles cos they look good in the bathroom and purely because I'm then not tempted to open loads.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I make it £57.50 but even so, after paying only £13.50 for all that you got over 76% off!!! Thats even better than the non-existent Boots sale :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Well done!!!
