Another UU for me tonight. A nivea for men face wash 30ml size. WIBA?: Well, it's for men and I'm not one! It wasn't used as face wash, the kids and I UU as shower gel over a couple of nights. And it's been in the stash for AT LEAST 2 years. So, on the whole, NO! It didn't foam either :( I like bubbles when I'm washing, it makes me feel cleaner!
My Olay face wash and the sanctuary moisturisers are at splutter stage too- woop woop!

Apparently boys don't: it's one of the things they do to 'masculinise' them.

A bit like dogs and toothpaste, really. We like the foam and they don't so they have non-foaming toothpaste.

Forgive me for I have purchased! I have gone for the Ojon TSV and am confessing to a serious backtrack! I fessed up to buying a bottle of the Ultra Hydrating Shampoo from John Lewis which has inspired me to buy the TSV because it is gorgeous. In all honesty I have been considering going back to JL to buy the conditioner which would have cost me £22.00 but for slightly under £10.00 more I am getting the restorative treatment, shampoo and a glossing mist too (all good sizes - no piddly travel sizes!). I know I also posted about finishing an Aussie 3 Minute Miracle treatment and saying I wouldn't repurchase cos I don't think I need it but here's the thing I was watching the TSV demo and I was thinking how lank and horrible my hair felt and was so easily convinced into buying it! I will do lines if you require. x
Be interested to hear how you get on - never used the stuff :) My hair is in pretty bad condition so it's interesting - plus with QVC you can send it back after 30 days.
QVC are amazing at selling. I think they do a subtle form of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). They convince you to buy things because and I quote "maybe you know someone who's been ill" (nods head), "maybe you've had the horrible flu going round and want to give yourself a treat" (nods head), "maybe maybe maybe". If I like the look of a TSV (todays special value) I have to try and watch it on mute :) Having said all that. Sometimes their bundles of products do represent good value, as long as you need and love all the stuff :A

One UU and another IN that I've just discovered :rotfl:

UU - Rimmel Sexy Curves mascara. WIBA? No, I didn't like the shape of the brush (in fact I swapped the brush with another mascara that I finished ages ago and used that brush instead - can't actually remember what that was from but it was a bright green and shiny lid - used with that brush it was great!).

IN - Sample of Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation in beige. This came in yesterday's Glamour magazine, I may try it tomorrow. I'm pale so I usually find that foundation samples are a bit dark for me, but we'll see :)

Now I've used up Godiva, I can use the other Lush one I have, which is Karma.:D
Going to colour my hair at some stage this weekend, the greys are showing a bit more than they were.
That will be a UU for the new Clairol Perfect 10, medium brown. It's the one with the choice of applicators and a largeish tube of conditioner to be used once a week for six weeks. I have a shampoo for coloured hair, Poundland one, red bottle, good make, can't think what it is at the moment.

I don't know if any of you got the L'Oreal Excellence freebie that was on last September/October ish.

I got Darkest Brown, which turned out to be black under another name, it really didn't suit me and I looked like a confused ageing Goth. I had to apply moisturiser with sunless tanner and then looked decidedly Spanish.

The colour has toned down and is now quite nice, so medium brown will hopefully give a decent result. My natural colour is medium brown so fingers crossed ...

Oh yeah, things I collect. I added to the bag stash today with a very nice white Fairtrade cotton bag from Tesco.

I also like mugs. I'm taking ones we've had hanging around for ages into work - the students I teach have a coffee break and if the office based staff are busy they don't have time to wash up. I'll be taking in ten mugs. I would have taken a few more but some of them have dodgy slogans and others were gifts. Today I bought a lovely one in Tesco, Art Deco.

Because of my arthritis, I have a cleaner that comes in and I've learned not to let her do the dishes, she chips my mugs. She chipped one my son was really fond of, but TG, Wilkinson's still sold it. He never knew.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

By the way, to clarify, with the date in the signature, mine will refer to non-essential spends, so if I buy something as a treat or just because I fancy it, or if I buy a product of a type I already have in the stash it will be changed, but if I buy toothpaste or something I have genuinely run out of, then it won't.
    Yep same here :)
Well I heard back from a woman's refuge that's not too far from me and they said they'd happily accept unused toiletries for children/women. Thanks to whoever it was that 1st posted the idea about a week ago!
So have looked through my stash and found 29 items that I can pass on that are practical.
I don't want to give it all away :o and am mindful some of my stash is presents and items that I really want!
(this Christmas gone will be the last time I ask for toiletries as gifts!:rotfl:)
is it cheating to count the items as UUs?
No cheating I reckon. Regifting to women in need. You feel better and so do they. It's a win win. Good for you :)

  • VALM - I hated Ojon the time I fell victim to a QVC TSV. I have lank greasy hair that tends to be flyaway on the 1st day of washing. Don't know what type of Ojon it was that i had, but none of it worked for me. Think I threw it away in the end! (Obviously in the days before I discovered this thread!!!)

Hmm I have quite a few ins but at a good price lol ;)
Went into Boots to look at the 75% sale that didn't happen, put my AC into the machine and got the 1/3 off any shower or bath cream off, so printed it out but think the printer must have jammed as ended up getting about 12!! lol So have bought a couple of the Original Source, they are 1/2 price at the mo and down to £1 so they work out at 66p!! Seemed silly to not use the vouchers although I have plenty of shower gels to use up first, although my OH will use them too as got the tea tree and mint ones as find they are really good :)
Also got a £2 off any mascara or lipstick, the Natural Collection mascara is £1.99 so it works out free! Even better!
I do have 2 UU - both shower gels (thankfully!) that I've been decanting into the hand wash in the kitchen that we go through really quickly. WIBIA again, no and certainly not when I've got the 66p OS to use first!! :)
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time
  • I have just had a very nice pampering night!
Although only 1 UU - A Space Girl bath ballistic WIBA? Yes, i love this scent soooooo much. But not till i've used up more of my stash!

And i feel like listing all the items i used as well:
The Comforter bubble bar - i think i'll get 2 more baths out of this
    Space Girl ballistic
Buffy - this is still massive
iFoam - 1...maybe 2 more showers or baths out of this i think
Oatifix face mask - First time i've used this, got it as a freebie the other day. I've only ever used the cupcake mask from Lush, and i don't tend to buy their facemasks very often, they don't last long and have to be kept in the fridge. I was a bit put off by Oatifix, as bananas are listed as one of the ingredients and i hate the smell of them! But it was surprisingly lovely!! Not a hint of banana at all!
TBS Carrot moisturiser - Nearly there with this one, maybe another week of using it and it'll be gone - i hope!
Avon Footworks green tea and mint - discovered this during my clear-out today, i don't remember even buying it!! It's a bit watery for my liking -more like a gel than a lotion, the mint scent is very stong too. I'll keep using it, wait and see the results before passing a proper judgement on it!
