    Hi all

This thread is running away with itself..... :rotfl:

I've had an eventful couple of days spending some money (not on toiletries, mind you!!)

    I've bought....
36 packs of Pampers wipes from B**ts, for £17.50, I dont have to add them as ins as they're for bump :p
Radley bag in the sale £59 (i'm using my Christmas money for this, so can justify the spend!)
I found the Nails inc offer of 5 lucky dip polishes for £10, so ordered two packs as gifts, used a voucher code and get them delivered for £19.95
And....... I've seen a lovely dress in the Reiss sale  No, I dont 'need' it, but I rrrreeeaaaaaallllly like it and we're hoping to have bubs christened in May, so I could wear it for that????

I've no uu to report, as been a bit busy, but i'm sure i'll have a couple over the weekend...

Saw my close friend last night, who gave me my Christmas present, so I have to class these as 'ins' even though I haven't bought them, it was a Tony & Guy bag, full of lovely goodies, including brush and clips..... She also got me a dressing gown for my forth coming arrival.... feel bad as I got her the S & G Lock, Stock & Barrel set, so i'm sure she spent so much more on me, than I did on her :(

A weekend of de cluttering is beckoning, need to get ready for the new arrival and so gonna put some stuff on ebay...... What will we do without the forums tomorrow?????

  • littlepinkstars - how do you find the carrot stuff?
I find it a bit too thick for my skin and have 3 pots of it too!!
so will prob use it more for handcream! Not that I need any!!!

I quite like it actually, i have very dry skin which is worse in winter, so pretty much drinks up moisturiser, so the thickness works well for me. I don't find it's done anything special for my skin though. But as a basic moisturiser, it does the trick!

thanks for that, i don't think i have oily skin, to be honest it's probably dry like the rest of me, i'm using the No7 daily foaming face wash, i've just started it but before i was using a cream cleanser, doesn't seem to matter what i use end up with spots. I have always wondered if it's just a stage you get through and then it all settles down.

Lemon Tree - I'm the same, whatever I use, I get spots. I would like it to settle down too.

I may try some of the Body Shop seaweed stuff that people keep mentioning to try to avoid my Priori AHA stuff (which I love but is a little expensive when trying to watch the pennies). Once I have used up what I have though :o

Has yours come? I'm not too keen on the fabric bit of it, surely its not gonna be fun in the rain???

Happy with the size though :j

Hi ladies, hope everything is going well with you all and you're enjoying all these pampering sessions that I am reading about! :)

    A couple of UU:
*Asda's Vitamin E Toner- WIBA? Probably not, it was ok for £1, but there are better vitamin E toners.
*The body Shop peppermint foot lotion- WIBA? I'd use it if it came in a set including the foot spray, but I personally don't like the smell- it's not pepperminty enough!
*Avon care moisturiser- WIBA? It's a nice light lotion that works ok on combating every day dry skin and it works very well for this purpose, so probably yes. It took ages to use up though because I decanted some Avon Little Black Dress body lotion into it because I didn't like the screw lid on the LBD.
    * Avon So something body spray (the green one) :D- WIBA? Yes, it smell sooooo nice, very fresh and summery. Bet it's been discontinued.

I may be preaching to the converted here, but i found that putting toner in a spray bottle helped my skin and with a UU. It also meant that I didn't have to use cotton wool, which is something that I am trying to cut down on. Also, i've been putting my body lotion on the radiator just to take the chill out of it before I put it on, and it's made me more inclined to use it, hasn't affected the lotion in any way but also sinks in quicker!

The Avon Care range has been re-launched recently, and is selling extremely well so I think will be around for a good while yet. Most of the component parts of the range now have three "options" - for example the face cream now comes in Nourishing, Renewing (Firming) or refreshing variants. I love the Rich Moisture (now Nourishing) as a night cream - and it's a huge pot which lasts ages - you really feel that you can slather it on your neck & decolletage as well as your face.

As for your perfume, I've checked the last three books and can't find it. It may well make a return for summer though - a lot of stuff is seasonal.

Apparently boys don't: it's one of the things they do to 'masculinise' them.

A bit like dogs and toothpaste, really.
We like the foam and they don't so they have non-foaming toothpaste.

This really REALLY made me laugh! :rotfl:

As the Forum will be away for a day tomorrow, I thought I'd post a review of my first month on this thread, running on from mid December.

I've only had 5 or 6 UU's -shampoo bar, shower gel, face cream, body lotion, detangler - but I have had a lot of stuff that's half used that will be worked through slowly.

One throw outt (Littlewoods body lotion), two demotes to foot cream, and a passed on to son tea tree wash given as a gift by someone who saw said product on the bathroom shelf and probably thought it was mine!

In's as gifts: Boots Botanics 50 ml body balm and body wash with mini washbag (useful for hols)
Olay eye gel, face cream and lotion.
Bayliss and Harding lavender foot balm
    Tea-tree moisturiser.

In's bought. OS Shower gel/cream x 2 at half price in Wilkinson.
    Clairol Perfect 10 hair dye.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.
  • I've UU a No 7 Blissful Body Wash. WIBA? Yes (have one more in stash) but only if I have a £5 off No 7 voucher as priced at around £8 it is way overpriced. I do have one of these vouchers as I recently topped up my mobile phone in Boots but I have plenty of shower gels to keep me going for a while.

It's horrible that the forum will be down tomorrow - I probably won't have much time to post on here anyway but I will miss having 5 mins (who am I kidding, and the rest!) or so reading all of your interesting posts.
