Been looking through the challenges/pledges that people have posted and they are great - just the job to give us all the motivation in 2011 :T :T :T :T
Mam is good today - my sister clarified to me that the groaning was due to pain in her hand and arm, so this would mot likely be from the drip, with fluid building up there - this has happened before, with her hand swelling right up, and, although it is not as swollen this time, she is doing the same thing in lifting her arm up all the time and being 'bothered' by it. Still, as long as she keeps her hand propped up on a pillow, this should reduce the problem
My sister said that she was very bright today, eating all of her soup - my sister had a little taste and said it was gorgeous, so must have been nice for Mam - not all her food is so appetising with pureed food being much of a much-ness, no matter what it started off asshe really enjoys it when the meal is soup and especialy the scrambled eggs
I am ringing my sister tonight at 7 pm so will have a good talk about Mam then, plus I will ring my brother too, to wish him Happy New Year
Glad you had company last night SW - it was good of your sister to come round - did she stay the night? And the fireworks over the Solent sould fantastic Steve & Andy - what a wonderful way to see in the new year
Anyway, that's 2010 all done and dusted, and I reckon we are all hoping that 2011 will be better in one way or another - although some things are out of our control, e.g. the weather, the economy, etc, but we do have the power within us to change many things and that is what this thread is about - us all taking control of those parts of our lives that we do have control over - so I declare the challenges for 2011 officially open, and God help all of us in our efforts :beer:Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Yes SW, I have my train ticket booked for next Saturday (8th) to return home the following Saturday (15th) - I am really really looking forward to seeing her again, and the family too of course :j
Not too cold here today, but very damp still, which can make it feel cooler. How about a chicken stir-fry Kit? Do you have the right veg for that?Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Hello, it was Jools Holland for us last night. And it is official, I am poorly person.
Thankfully BF is here to look after me and DD but I feel bad as I haven't been very nice to him lately.
Anyway, here are my pledges:
- Achieve my frugal challenge 2011
- Declutter, declutter, declutter
- Lose either 20 kg or to get to size 12 which ever happens first
- I used to be able to speak Swedish and I would like to find a way to revive that (and not just by watching Wallander)
And then the dream:
- to live in my dream house where I am allowed to have a cat, outskirts of nice village where I feel I am part of the community"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Mr 3Dogs is delighted with the result today - puts Sunderland in 6th place in the Premier League :j :j
Clementines are not enough for supper SW - what about an omellette? or beans on toast?
Sorry to hear about your friend
Off along to neighbours now for cuppa and chat, plus Mr 3Dogs will give her little Misty a walkies - then back to ring sister at 7 pm, so back online about 7.45/8 pmMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

I have made an executive decision. B*gger work, it is the holidays i am not doing any marking. This is non negotiable. I will not get stressed mum and dad come tomorrow and we shall enjoy ourselves. So there, Amen!!!!
Marru how would you feel living up north? You could move in by Miche. I like living in cities - shops, food, buses etcAiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
I think I will stick to this area for now as I do like my new job and DD is doing so well in her new school.
By when you need to get your marking done?
I have been putting off my paperwork but it all has to be catching the post on Tuesday so I have couple of days to get it sorted."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Happy New Year 3Dogs and co from the land of Nargle!
Challenges? Well, I have a 4000 word assignment to start for a course I am doing, and I have to have a few words down in paper for a tutorial in a couple of weeks, so my first challenge is to get my backside into gear and get it done. After I have taken down all the Christmas decs, decluttered the house (fat chance, being hitched to the world's fattest squirrel), sorted out budgets and plans for the New Year, generally spring cleaned the place....oh I could go on and on....but I won't! Busy times ahead......One life - your life - live it!0
