Please can I join too? Tried this ages ago but got sidetracked, I really want to increase my savings this year so need to be more aware or where my money goes- already have my spending diary in place which helped me last time.
Please put me down for 10 NSD's- I will hopefully have more but it's my birthday on the 5th which means birthday cakes, an evening out and possibly various meet ups with friends, so not sure how successful/realistic I will be.
Had 1st NSD yesterday :jMarried my wonderful husband February 2013!:happyhearI want to wear my beautiful wedding dress everyday- it would make shopping so much more fun, I mean, people go shopping in their pyjamas these days.......Must STOP spending!!!Proud to be dealing with my debts!0 -

Thought about 'popping to the shop' as per usual for 'a few bits' as if!
The challenge made me rethink this as it used to do, I'm not popping to the shop because I don't need anything! I'm going to put the breadmake on and I've got loads of stuff for tea, hoping for NSD 2 today. Let me see if I can stay strong
The other thing that helped me when I'm at work was leaving my purse at home, I work next to a v.lg Mr T's that is all too tempting to go and 'have a look' or buy things I don't need at lunchtime. Think I'll give this another go to help me out a bit next week
It's a pleasure, fedupandskint. Stay strong, you can do it:D. Well done for avoiding the shop today:T:TThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Evening all - I have decided to count yesterday as a spend day, felt I was cheating by placing my internet order after midnight. today was also a spendy day - needed petrol and a few bits in Mr A - OMG! It was heaving instore AND the traffic to get in was unbelievable.... guess everyone was trying to shop before the VAT rise.
I also realised that the order I placed had the incorrect delivery address on - so I will need to call tomorrow to sort that out, guess that serves me right for shopping after beer:o

What a fabulous bunch of new peeps joining us, this thread is obviously gaining in notoriety!
(Notoriety in being a thread that focusses on serious issues such as cutting back spending etc. Well, what else would we be notorious for?? )
I think the word you were looking for, Nargle, is "popularity".:D:D After all, we're sooooo well behaved here how could we possibly be notorious for anything?;):DThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Hi everyone
I've copied BM's guidlines on the front page as well (4th post). If anyone would like to copy them onto a new page that would be wonderful.
